Brooklyn-

“Put the bag down over there.” Tate said, motioning towards a bench behind the stage.

“When will everyone be arriving?”

“Eric is holding everyone off until you are ready. We need to go over a few things first.”

“Couldn’t we have spoken inside?” I asked while I laid the bag over the back of the bench.

“No.” Tate said, not giving me any more of an explanation, but he looked frustrated.

“Okay, what do we need to go over?”

“I wanted to remind you that if you lose today, our contract is void. I will not step down as Alpha if you are unable to perform. Eric thinks you can do this, but I have my doubts. I will give a public rejection if you lose and you have to act as if you are in pain. You will still be able to remain in the pack for the rest of the term, but you will be moved out of the packhouse.” He stopped talking and he didn’t look happy.
