Hailey's POV

Wrong

So fucking wrong. So wrong that it could replace the actual definition of that word in the dictionary.

Because tell me why I haven't been able to get my mind off him in thirty-two hours, five minutes and thirty seconds. It almost feels like just because I'd determined not to think of him, my brain decided that that was just what it was going to do.

And seeing him walking around, making friends with colleagues and strangers so easily doesn't help it. In fact, it gives me something else to think about.

And the fact that he's wearing a blue shirt that defines his muscular chest and arms doesn't help in any way.

It does something to me, something that I'm not proud of. Something that the determined Hailey of yesterday isn't going to be proud of. It stirs my lady parts in so many ways.

If things were different, I'd have pulled him by his collar into one of the restrooms and given him the best—

Jesus Christ. Now I'm starting to think like Matt.

If he were in my hea

The question makes heat rise to my cheeks. Thankfully, my hands are covering my face, hiding my blush. "What kind of question is that?" I ask quickly. "Of course not. I'm not some sex crazed maniac.""But you assume I am?"I give a half-shrug. "Maybe."He chuckles. "I'm going to pull your hand away from your face now. Don't worry, you won't see anything you haven't seen before." Before I can answer, his hands cover mine and slowly pull them away from my face. I still keep my eyes shut. I don't know why I'm shy all of a sudden. It's not like I haven't seen his dick before. Only twice, though. But still, the image is implanted in my mind. A package like his isn't something to forget so easily. 'But a fresh memory would be good for you,' the naughty, traitorous part of my mind echoes. And actually, it would. So after very little thought, I open my eyes. They immediately flicker down to his crotch, and surprisingly, he's covered. Like he said. But why does the confirmation make me

Hailey's POVI watch as Levi opens the door and steps out. He speaks to whoever is on the other side for a moment, and when he walks back in, a man follows, dragging in a large, wide and thick object that barely squeezes through the doorway. He struggles to get it in, and once the first part makes it through, I finally realize what it is.A mattress.A new fucking mattress. I rise from the couch, going to meet them, but Levi sees me approaching and comes over. "What the hell, Levi? Tell me that's not what I think it is." He smirks. "Depends. What do you think it is?""Don't play dumb with me. You got a new mattress? Why?""Because I can."I glare at him.He chuckles, like he doesn't realize what a waste of money this is, and I'm sure he doesn't. He's got enough money to last him a lifetime, and apparently, doesn't know what to do with it. I'm not a stranger to wealth myself, but I'm sure I wouldn't want to waste money on something I don't need. "Hun," he says with a grin, "I've g

I return to the kitchen and place the box of chocolates on the counter, opening it. One glance at the sweets, and I realize that while in Levi's room, I'd lost my appetite for them. Correction: I'd gained an appetite for something else. With a sigh, I close the box and push it away. My comfort snacks have turned against me now. Honesty, I should have expected it. Levi had bought them, after all. After a moment of staring at the box in sadness, I move to the living room, deciding to just watch some television instead.I randomly scroll through stations until I come across something familiar. Jumanji. Just perfect. Even more so because I've watched it countless times, and there's absolutely nothing in it that could remind me of Levi. I settle in and let myself relax. For a while, it works.Until I smell him.His cologne drifts into the room like a ghost, haunting my senses."What are you watching?" he asks from behind me. I shut my eyes, suppressing a groan. Seriously? What does a g

  • Contract Marriage With My Ex's Boss   Ninety two

Hailey's POV I need space. As I leave Levi's room, I go to the kitchen and warm a glass of milk for myself before going to sit by the counter. Of all the ways I thought today would end, this wasn’t one of them. I never imagined I'd be back here, let alone spending tonight and the next two nights in Levi's room. I wish I had a better option. But if I decide to take Levi's offer to leave, we'd have to tell everyone the truth. And I'm not ready for that yet. I'm not ready for the judgment... or for the accountability. I left his room because the thought of him being with someone else in that bed was starting to churn my stomach. I didn't want to be so rude to him, but the longer I stayed in there, the more disgusted I felt. And the mood swings from pregnancy didn't help. I thought I was past it, apparently not. Maybe I never will be. And sure, I played a part in how things happened, but knowing that doesn't make it any easier.I sigh, taking a sip of the milk, hoping it calms me. I

  • Contract Marriage With My Ex's Boss   Ninety one

Levi's POV After helping her put her things into my car, I waited for her to get her's before beginning the drive back to my house, with her driving in front of me. Before we left, I managed to get the flowers sent back to the florist. Thankfully, she hadn't closed the shop yet. I'm sure she must've been shocked when she saw the two men I'd hired, walking back inside with all the bouquets she thought she'd sold out earlier. Hailey pulls into my driveway first, and I pull in shortly after her. I get out, gather her bags, and meet her at the front door where she’s already waiting. With my hands full, I hand her the keys. She unlocks the door and steps inside, holding it open for me. "Welcome back home, I guess?" I offer as I walk in.She scoffs. "Don't push it." She shuts the door and walks past me, heading in the direction of the rooms. I follow behind her, and when she walks past my door without stopping, I call out, "Where are you going?" She turns, a frown on her face. "My ro

Levi's POV She turns and freezes the moment she sees me. Then, without warning, she screams. It's so loud I wince, stepping over a couple of flower bouquets to reach her. Once I do, I clamp a hand over her mouth. Even at that, the sound still claws its way out of her throat. "Jesus Christ, Hailey," I hiss. "You're gonna make your neighbors think you're getting kidnapped." I won't be surprised if they had already called the fucking cops from the first time the sound left her mouth. My plan with Matt did not include me getting arrested, and I'd very much like to keep it that way. As if just registering the sound of my voice, she stops, her body growing rigid. Cautiously, I pull my hand away from her mouth. But I let it linger, just in case she tries to scream again. "I'd forgotten how loudly you screamed," I murmur into her ear, taking in her sweet, feminine scent I love so much. God, I missed her. I missed her presence. Those little traces of her that lingered in my ho
