Dillon strolled over to the princess and took a seat next to her on the bed.

"Your understanding of chess is quite beautiful; where did you learn it?" The princess inquired in a soft voice.

Dillion responded with a smile, "When I was younger, my grandmother used to tell me this. She used to be the one who taught me everything."

"Remarkable! So, if all you understood about chess was the concept of it, how did you manage to win?" The princess took a close look at his features.

"I watched master Kai's move and reproduced it identically, and there was a point when my queen defeated his queen and took the position next to his king in the game. That was a checkmate right there!" He gave a soft chuckle.

"Wow, what an incredible strategy to copy, play, and win with." The princess joined in the laughter as well.

"In that case, please answer to my question your highness: why were you upset when I won the chess match?" Dillion's brows were knit together in concentration.
