Chapter Three * Honeymoon

Groaning, Aurora stretched and sat on her bed, an headache forming, she rubbed her temples and blinked her eyes trying to adjust to the light, looking around she was confused, then everything came to her like a bucket of ice water, increasing her already forming head ache, she remembered the wedding, remembered feeling jealous of her sister, remembered how Nate dragged her out of their reception, checking him out when they got to the house and him doing the same thing to her, remembered him seeing her almost naked, teasing her like they were kids again.

"I am married," she said.

And I need some aspirin, she thought to herself.

Getting up from bed slowly testing her footing before standing, she put on the fuzzy slippers she found laying around last night, she walked out of the room half asleep in search of some aspirin and coffee.

Walking into the kitchen she began familiarizing herself with the kitchen, looking for the coffee, she began making some. The kitchen was beautiful spotless but not like those picture fine ones, there was a home like feeling to it, making coffee in there felt like intruding in another woman's kitchen.

The  pots and pans had signs of use, hearing some footsteps she turned back, and saw Nate coming into the kitchen, looking as hot as usual, in a dark grey suit, the first two buttons of his shirt were undone, holding his tie in one hand, and in the other hand holding a phone to his ear, he was quiet but from the look of displeasure over his face, the news he was getting wasn't  pleasant.

Getting to the kitchen he put the phone down "That was my dad," he said.

"Our parents have planned  honeymoon trip for us to Italy," he continued.

"And we have to go, well I have to go because I have business there, and you have to go because, well it's our honeymoon," he said.

"Arrgh," She complained to her self, Her mother's name was written all over this.

"Do we really have to go?" She complained to Nate.

"Yes," he said indifferent.

"Come on, can't you cancel or something?" She continued complaining.

"Do you really think I want this, that I want to be stuck with a 5 year old on my business trip," he said exasperated.

"Look," he said taking a deep breath, "The both of us don't want this but we have no choice, so please stop complaining it pisses me off," he finished more calm.

"Okay, I am sorry I tend to complain a lot," she said angry with herself for not considering his feelings before talking.

"It's okay and I am sorry for snapping at you," he apologized.

"Good, now that we have that behind us, you should go and pack your bags, we leave for Florence today," he said a little smile teasing his lips.

She also smiled seeing the little smile on his lips knowing that was all she would get for the main time.

"I am sure if we can be civil to one another, then Florence will be fine," he commented.

She couldn't help but stare at the handsome man in front of her as his lips move, she couldn't hear a word he said, tearing her gaze away from him she turned to the kitchen, busying her self with coffee.

"How do you take your coffee?" She asked.

"Two creams and two sugars," he said.

She turned back to him surprised, "So the big bad business man Nate has a sweet tooth," she said, Nate had the grace to look a little shy, a little pink tinted his cheeks.

"So what if I do?" He said smugly as he had regained his composure.

"Oh, you're blushing, you look so cute," she said teasing him.

"You're not big and bad Nate Walters, you're just a cute cuddly man bear," she continued teasing him, she was getting payback for last night.

"Okay, Aurora that's enough, just make breakfast and get ready so we can leave." He had obviously had enough of her teasing.

"Am going to make some toast and scrambled eggs," she said.

"Hey, I'm just curious, you have a lot of groceries for a bachelor and your pots and pans have seen use, do you by any chance cook?" She asked.

He laughed, not one of those half hearted laughs but a full blown one, as if the idea of him cooking was absurd. She decided there and then that she loved his laugh, it was enthralling, it made her want to laugh.

"If you call burning water cooking, then by all means I can cook, in fact I am a world class chef," he said.

"I hire a housekeeper, she comes to clean and cook twice a week," he explained clearing out the confusion.

She nodded in understanding. God he was handsome when he laughed she thought to herself, Turning abruptly, she started to busy herself with whisking the eggs anything to distract herself from him.

She started humming to a familiar tune, to get herself comfortable.

~~~~~~~
He couldn't help but stare at her, it was as if she had forgotten he was there, swaying that delectable ass of hers to the soft tunes she was humming, she was wearing the shirt he gave her last night with the boxers, he admitted she looked way better in his clothes than he did.
"Breakfast is served," she said, bringing him out of his daydream, putting a plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of him.
The meal looks marvellous Nate thought, taking a forkful of eggs, it literally melted on his tongue, he absolutely loved it, he began wolfing down the meal
in the most subtle manner he could.
"Any good," she asked him , watching him trying very hard to hide a satisfied look from his face.
"It's okay," he replied nonchalantly,  'Nate you have to stay strong'  he told himself.
He looked up at her watching her pick at her own food like she was deciding whether or not she wanted to eat before cleaning her plate.
"You better get dressed, I have a meeting to catch tomorrow," he said when she was done eating.
~~~~~~~

Staring at him she wondered what was up with this man, her so called husband sometimes he was flaming hot and suddenly he just becomes ice cold, a moment ago they were friends and all and suddenly he was talking to her like some employee or something.

"Alright, I will just do the dishes first," she said, half expecting him to offer doing it.

"Yes, be quick we leave in one hour," he said in his irritating business tone again, turning around to leave.

She went into her bathroom to take a much needed shower, She was towel drying herself at the same time thinking of what to wear when she realized that she didn't have any clothes to wear, she signed I have to go meet Nate again, this is so embarrassing she said to herself. She tightened her towel the best she could and went in the direction she thought his room would be and found a singular door and so she raised her hand and knocked.

"Yes," he said opening the door.

"What are doing here?" He asked eyeing her.

"Hmm, I don't have any clothes," she said feeling his gaze hot upon her skin.

"Didn't you see three very large boxes that I am sure are yours in the living room?" He asked, saying the words slowly and carefully as though he was talking to a child who couldn't understand him.

Annoyed with his tone she replied snarkily,"I am pretty sure that my boxes were not in the living room because I would have seen them when I passed through the living room to get here." she huffed.

"Please I am not blind," she continued.

He rolled his eyes, taking a deep breath before taking her arm and pulling her to the living room and gestured to the three gigantic boxes in the living room.

And surprise surprise all of them were hers and for a moment she felt like denying them, but then realized that will take her nowhere.

"And those came in this morning," he said jolting her out of her thoughts, she looked up at him only to see his back he was going.

Oh well, that saves me an embarrassing situation. She thought to herself.

Pulling two the boxes, rolling them to her room she wondered how the heck she didn't see them before.

~~~~~~~
"I'm ready," she said to Nate walking into the  living room rolling her box behind her, he was still wearing his suit from before and he was busy typing on his phone looking and handsome as before like from a movie or something but when she talked he looked up at her staring at her with his piercing gaze.
After what seemed like forever he stood up and started walking out the door, leaving her to follow
Arrgh  she thought this man with his god damn mood swings, trying hard to follow in her heels, which she was officially regretting wearing, but there were no sensible shoes in the boxes brought it was just like Andrea's boxes were brought here instead of hers and she was pretty sure her mother did that and of course conspiring with Andrea even the knee length sundress she was putting on wasn't mine and she wouldn't usually be caught dead in it, but she found herself in an uncomfortable position.
Breathing heavily as she got to the car, she opened the door and got in.  I really to workout more. She thought to herself.
Surprisingly he drove, most of the bachelors she knew didn't do that they had a chauffeur and they basically didn't do anything by themselves.
"You drive!" She said surprised, not really thinking it through.
"Of course I do, oh let me guess you don't you have a driver that takes you every where, well there are some things that I like doing by myself," he said a bit angrily.
The rest of the drive was in awkward silence, and she just looked outside the window listening to the honking and angry shouts of driver's stuck in the New York traffic trying their best to get their respective offices somewhere in all the high rise buildings any thing to distract her mind from thinking about Nate but that didn't even seem to work.
Immediately they got to the airport she couldn't wait to get out the car, only to get into the same plane with him, the flight was even worse than the drive if that was even possible, they couldn't use the private jet because Ryan and Andrea were using it, so they ended up flying first class in a public plane, but all the seats had been paid for and it was just her and Nate on the plane, it was so quiet that the silence was extremely loud and it was gnawing at her, the boredom  making her sleepy.
The only sound she could hear was Nate typing furiously on his laptop and she was just sitting and wondering how on earth girls could endure wearing thongs they were uncomfortable as hell, and the only reason she was wearing them was because there was no other underwear in her boxes only the skimpiest of thongs.
She took a sip of the champagne that the air hostess had put in front of her and settled more into the brown leather comfortable seats, and before she knew it she was in lala land dreaming of pigheaded egoistical sexy hot husbands.
She felt a hand gently tapping her shoulder easing her out of her slumber blinking her eyes she saw that they had landed, she rubbed her hands over her eyes tapping at the sides of her lips lightly hoping she didn't drool.
"Be quick Aurora I have a meeting to catch," Nate said.
That put her out of sleep quickly as she stood up he gripped her hand forcing her to follow his fast long strides and then a chauffeur had come to pick them up taking them to their fathers' hotel here in Italy annoyed at the way he treated her she didn't even spare him a glance.
To pass time, she brought out her phone and started texting her best friend Rhea.
"Hey, babe it's your best friend Rory in case you have forgotten," she texted, Rhea hadn't texted her in days and if she wasn't so bored out of her senses she would have actually been mad.
"Hey, bitch you know I couldn't forget you if I tried, just giving you a chance to enjoy your wedding night*wiggling eyebrows*."
She smiled seeing that, Rhea was her best friend, they met at the private and exclusive high school they attended, you know the ones with the blazer, pleated skirts, knee high socks yea that one, at that time she wasn't particularly fond of her sister and her need to be perfect do at school she avoided her like the plague and the rich kids in the school such annoyed her, she was much of a loner, then a new family moved into the estate The Robinson's her father's business competitor and their only daughter Rhea was the new kid at school, so to piss off her father she befriended her and it was the best decision she had ever made.
Although their friendship started on a wrong basis she genuinely liked Rhea, she was real like a breath of fresh air, human and not so bloody perfect and Rhea liked her too something about always wanting a sister can't blame her though with the four little brothers.
"Ha Ha Ha very funny, you of all people know that our marriage was arranged, so no wedding night," she texted Rhea
"Way to kill the mood Rory," Rhea texted.
"Moving on to other interesting topics, where are you now?"Rhea asked, as if she knew that Aurora was out of the country.
"I am actually in Italy right now," Aurora texted her.
"Oh, you're on your honeymoon and you're texting me," Rhea texted.
"It's not a honeymoon," she argued.
"Are you there alone?" Rhea asked.
"No," she answered.
"You're with your new husband in another country, it is so a honeymoon," Rhea texted.
"I so ship the both of you."
"Bye," she texted Rhea back, annoyed with her.
"Sir, Ma'am, we're here, Enjoy your honeymoon." the driver said.
