Or should I say, Deck the Hall

Tanner held his glass of wine tightly in his hand as he viewed the crowd, he had always been wary of these type of parties, the type that had too many people putting on extravagant dresses, overly expensive shawls and suits that cost thousands of dollars, for no other reason than to show off.

The type that all they did was to discuss their new club memberships, or the new yatchs or cars they had bought, the new companies they had acquired, for the ladies they new shoes or bags or anything of the sorts.

Even if it was a Christmas party, for them it was another chance to dress up, the women were in extravagant white or red dresses, the men in Armani suits, drinking and eating and making new contacts, the only reason why Tanner was there was because of his father.
