Alexis's POV

My feet came to a halt just in time for what I just heard, my eyes swept across the hall before they fell on Nortia who was spellbound and couldn't say a word.

I edged closer, bridging the gap between us as I went closer.

“ Stop please” I held her father back. “You shouldn't do this, it was what he wanted, you doing this will make you fall into his trap” I explained.

Anyone could see that and the smirk that laced his face told me that much also and so I knew that I had to get him to stop, him wanting that was so cruel of him and he wasn't going to stop unless he got what he wanted.

I was left to ponder on what exactly he had in mind that he wanted to do or he had planned, killing someone was out of it, had he gotten to the point where he had dead his heart? That whatever was going to happen could happen but he wasn't going to lose the company.

Doing so much for something that wasn't even yours from the onset was pissing to me but I knew humans and they were greedy, I

Alexis POV Her words, they had me grasping onto her because I didn't want it to be false, so I knew I had to hold onto what I thought I had heard, because it seemed so soon “ I know I am to apologize, and I will…I…” “ Shut up and make love to me.” She said, her hands running on my clothes, and I knew I had to take a step back. It was all too soon, and I knew I had to take a step back.“ You aren't in a good mood right now, and I wouldn't want to make it worse, you have to be sure about this and…” “ Do you want me to go to someone else? Chad?” That got me because she knew well enough what to do to tick me off. I could imagine my mother and Genevieve giggling while listening to all that was happening. Her hands ran underneath my clothes as she touched me, each sending tingles to me. I missed her so much that words wouldn't be able to quantify just how much I did. I wanted her to touch me, to hold me, but I knew I had to be conscious, I missed her just the same way she missed me

  • Contractual Marriage: The billionaire's Woman    Stay

Nortia's POVI knew there had to be something, something I couldn't decipher, couldn't place my hands on but now I knew what exactly it was. I could do so now because it made so much sense. How she got to know, how she kept saying it would change everything, I should have known. I had stomped out after I was told, with Alexis on my heels and Genevieve’s eyes pleading as well but I knew it was none of their fault. They weren't at fault, because my uncle was the one who had orchestrated it. If he hadn't done what he did, then they would be alive, that was what I told myself even when it was so hard to believe that. I couldn't bring myself to blame her, not when she was the only one who had listened to me, and offered to bring me over with her. “ Nortia, you aren't supposed to be working today.”“ I know, but I need something off my mind.” I had rushed to the cafe knowing that was the only way to get it off my mind. I didn't want to believe that they had all lied to me, not lied in

  • Contractual Marriage: The billionaire's Woman    Reason

Alexis's POV I was finally sure that I had everything it took to get her back from Switzerland and that was to ask for her to come back to me. I was ready to get and plead for her to take me back and in a haste, I rushed over after the judgement had been given. Just like Mrs. Smith had said, Samantha had been shot while she was at the airport by her so-called father who was eager to take someone else with him. He had been caught, with a smirk on his face, while she was rushed to the hospital, where the doctor had confirmed she would survive. That was all that I needed to know. Mrs. Smith had ended up behind bars as well, as his conspirator and not saying a word when she knew what exactly he had planned out every single time. Somehow, she hadn't said a word as she was being led away and had accepted her fate but the same couldn't be said for her husband. The shareholders in a quest to get Nortia back, had come trooping over to my office and I knew I had to be the savior so I knew

  • Contractual Marriage: The billionaire's Woman    Embroiled

Nortia's POVIt was a lot to process in, what had happened within the span of a week, if Alexis wanted me back, he was putting in the work, and I knew it was going to be selfish of me not to give him listening ears if he wanted one but that was going to take something more than mere apologies. “ I guess that is all we have to see, he should be behind bars soon enough.”I couldn't agree more, he wasn't going out of this. Samantha being a witness against him had been the highlight, anyone would be fine if it wasn't for her and I was wondering how he had gotten her to do such. The Samantha I knew would always need something before she did something like that, and the thought of her requesting for him himself had me thinking, but he wouldn't do such a thing, would he? There was no way Alexis would give himself up to her for my sake, it doesn't make sense, since he was doing it for me. I sighed, not waiting to think about it any more and instead, I turned my eyes to the window where Ge

  • Contractual Marriage: The billionaire's Woman    Hearty laughters

Alexis POV “ Mr. Alexis.” The press was trying everything to get me to say a word but I pushed them aside, knowing that there was no way I was going to give an answer to whatever they wanted. Samantha had done good, and as such, the next trial was out in place to get him his judgement. I could tell already what it was going to be, there was no disputing that. He was going to be jailed and maybe, sentenced to death, I wasn't supposed to be glad about that, but I was. I was looking forward to watching him end up dead. “I don't have anything to say.”Gerald was walking with Samantha towards the car when a hand snapped her around, her hands smacked against her cheek. “ What do you think you have done? You decided to take part with an outsider over your own father? I brought you up better than that.”“ You did?” Samantha mocked. “ You didn't do anything and you know that. All you did was lie to me, the one time I begged to be told the truth, you refused to be truthful with me and I am

  • Contractual Marriage: The billionaire's Woman    Nailed

Alexis's POV The press littered all around as they all waited for Mr.Smith to get in. He would be brought in by the police and if found guilty, then sent to the cell, for all they knew, it might just be exaggerated talks within evidence. Now, it was left for Samantha to play her part, she had to do so because that was the agreement we had and I really hoped she wasn't about to go against it. It was going to be a little too late for that to happen at the moment. I was waiting for Gerald to walk in with her, he had gone off to pick her, and should be close soon. I looked around as well for Mrs. Smith, who was nowhere to be found as well, but I knew that she might be lurking around just so she could wait for her daughter, and get her to have a change of heart. I needed her to know that wouldn't be possible. My father wasn't going to be here, his presence was irrelevant here, I had decided not to go with any press conference because I knew they all wanted to know why I was doing this
