Katie's Pov

Raindrops rolled down the side of my window as I got up from bed and dragged myself to the bathroom. I picked up my brush, applied some toothpaste and began cleansing my teeth.

I looked into the mirror before me as I took the brush around and around my mouth in circular motion. My eyes were puffy and swollen, the skin around them darker than the rest of my face. Under them were large, drooping bags and the eyes themselves had sunken unto their sockets.

I stepped into the shower when I was done and washed myself as much as I could. My entire body ached as if I was hit by a moving bus. Tears began rolling down my cheeks as I thought about why I was getting ready. As the rains poured I realised the heavens were mourning just as I was. They mourned the death of my Sunshine.
