CHAPTER 19~ EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

Last night Verya left the forest as late as midnight. As much as she wanted to, she didn’t go see Sathe, instead, she had asked an omega to deliver him dinner when she remembered she had neglected to bring him food.

He must’ve been hungry, he must’ve been looking forward to seeing her too, but she didn’t go, her pride hadn’t let her. She had promised she’d go back with the keys, how could she visit him without it?

She had already felt guilty about him being locked up and the fact that she was incapable of letting him out even after trying so many times was not helping.

Sighing, she sat up in bed, looking towards the window. The curtains were as she left them last night. They were drawn aside, the bright sun outside more than just visible. Before going to bed, she had been sitting by her window, looking down at the darkness that floated over the land. What if that darkness had been flowing within her?

What if she was as ruthless as her mother was said to be?
