KIERA'S POV

The hotel door clicked shut behind me.

I stood in the hallway for a long moment, my legs were shaky and my body still felt sore.

A reminder of exactly what I had done last night. The dress Susan had forced me into felt tighter now, like it was choking me.

My long black hair was full of knots no matter how many times I tried to smooth it down. And I smelled like him—dark, woodsy, and powerful. I hated it.

Every step toward the elevator felt like walking through quick sand. My mind

KIERA'S POVThe message from Alistair in my pocket felt like a live coal.I deleted it immediately, my fingers moved fast before Alice could get curious. She was still standing there watching me with those hazel eyes that used to look up at me with fake innocence. Now they just looked deceptive.“You sure you’re okay?” she asked again, tilting her head.“I’m fine,” I repeated, forcing my voice to stay light. The old Kiera. The weak one. The one they both thought they could step on. “I’m just very tired. Goodnight, Alice.”She hesitated for a second, then gave me another sweet smile. “Goodnight, sister. Sweet dreams.”I watched her walk away before slipping back into the bedroom. Rafael was still asleep, one arm thrown across my side of the bed like he owned the space. Like he owned me. I stood there staring at him for a long time, the man I had once loved with my entire soul. The man who had called me pathetic while buried inside my sister.I didn't fall asleep easily that night. Eve

And I smelled like him—dark, woodsy, and powerful. I hated it.Every step toward the elevator felt like walking through quick sand. My mind wouldn’t stop replaying everything.Alistair’s hands on my thighs. His voice in my ear telling me to take him deeper. The way I had cried out while he fucked me like he owned every piece of me.And then his cold offer this morning. Marry me or lose everything.Tears began to blur my vision again as I stepped into the elevator. I pressed the button for the ground floor and hugged my arms around myself. I felt dirty, used and pathetic. The same word Rafael and Alice had laughed about while they w

  • Corrupted By The Lycan King   Chapter 6: The Lycan King’s Bargain

KIERA'S POVI could tell that my heart had significantly stopped beating. The name kept echoing in my head like a death sentence.Alistair.The Lycan King. The same man Rafael had spoken about with a mix of fear and greedy hunger in his voice. The one they called a murderer. The unpredictable monster from the North. And now I was naked in his arms, my body was stillaching from how deeply he had taken me and his scent was plastered all over my skin.I tried to sit up again, but his arm felt like iron around my waist. “Let me go,” I whispered, my voice shaking so badly it barely sounded like mine.Alistair’s golden eyes gleamed in the dim morning light that already started filtering through the heavy curtains. A dangerous smirk formed slowly on his lips, the same lips that had been everywhere on me just hours ago. He looked completely relaxed, like he owned the entire world and everyone in it.“Little omega,” he murmured, his voice was low and a little rough from sleep. “You weren’t

Chapter 5KIERA’S POVThe stranger’s hand around my wrist felt both cold and warm at the same time. His grip was strong and I tried to pull away, but my body just wouldn’t listen to me, so I stood fixated on that spot unable to move. The music in the club seemed to have gotten louder for a minute, the way the sound pulsed made it feel like a second heartbeat, while my real heart hammered against my ribs in pure unadulterated panic.“I—I’m sorry,” I stammered again, my voice could barely make it through the noise. “I didn’t mean to bump into you.”He still didn’t let go, at least not immediately. His fingers stayed wrapped around my hand, it was firm but not painful. And somehow it felt…commanding. It felt like he had already decided I wasn’t going anywhere yet. I finally looked up properly. Even with the black mask covering half his face, his presence swallowed everything around us. He was crazy tall, with broad shoulders stretching the dark shirt he wore. The aura around him felt

Kiera’s povI stood outside Susan’s house, staring down at my phone. The screen was turned off now and My fingers tightened slightly before I exhaled shakily.Everything inside me felt… wrong. Empty and cold. Or maybe— I had just Changed.Because the girl who had driven away from the pack house, crying and shaking and barely able to breathe… she didn’t feel like me anymore. That version of me had shattered somewhere along the road. And what was left? I didn’t recognize her yet.I swallowed hard, forcing my expression to look calm because no one could know.No one could know how badly I had messed up. How close I was to losing everything. How much I had already lost. Before I could change my mind, the door in front of me opened and I saw Susan standing there.“What’s wrong?” she asked immediately.I shook my head quickly, forcing a small smile. “Nothing. I’m fine.”She didn’t believe me.I could see it in the way her eyes narrowed but for once… She didn’t push.Instead, she let out a q

Rafael’s povI stared at my phone longer than I should have.Kiera’s message sat there on the screen, harmless at first glance, but something aboutit didn’t sit right with me.“Sorry I haven’t gotten the papers yet. My father is being stubborn. It might take a fewdays.”I frowned slightly, my thumb hovering over the screen as I read it again. And then again. That… didn’t sound like Kiera, At all.Kiera didn’t delay. Kiera didn’t make excuses. If anything, she overdelivered. She was the kind of person who got things done beforeyou even asked twice. She was Efficient to a fault. Obsessive, even. Once she set her mind to something, itwas already as good as done.So why was she giving excuses now?“Something’s wrong,” I muttered under my breath. My fingers moved quickly, typing out a response before I could overthink it. I keptmy tone calm, gentle—exactly the way she liked it.“Hey my love, I know it’ s not easy, but this is really important. The meeting tomorrowdepends on it.”I pau

Kiera’s povI wish I had been born blind.I wish I never even had the ability to see, because blindness would have hurt a lot less thanbeing forced to stand here, and watch as my husband fucked my little sister on my own officedesk.I wasn’t even sure my heart was still beating anymore, because w
