After breakfast, Jade had some work to do so she left Tristan- too much to his disappointment. He was in the garden with Persephone.

She was hugging her knees, making an almost crying face, dejection dripping from her as they were sitting on the grass.

“Zadicus told me everything.” She breathed out, holding herself tightly.

“I see…” He hummed coldly, noticing her tensed features.

“Deep down, I always believed he had a reason, something else but as the time passed.” She began to tell him her thoughts, to share her pain with him.

“He didn’t come, Kriss told me nothing… I just-” She paused, losing her strength, biting her bottom lip to contain her ache but failed.

“It’s not your fault, You saw with your eyes and people tend to believe what they see.” He shrugged, patting her shoulder to soothe her.

“So what’s wrong? Your reactions and words were natural.” He said softly, giving her a feeble smile to soothe her.
