Finally. I exhaled. Senior year was here. In two days technically. Today was public service day. A long lasting ritual in Everfrost University. A day where the senior year students would engage in public services in different parts of campus. The faculty hallway raked with students. Boys. Girls. Bustling up and down with wide grins on their faces. I inhaled. Taking in the familiar air of Everfrost’s hallway. Everfrost wasn't just any university. It was the most prestigious and luxurious one in Frostfang pack. And second most rated one in the entire continent, topped only by Blue-Ridge University. Everyone wanted to school here. Well not everyone entirely—I only came here because of a stupid crush. “I’m so happy to be back,” my best friend, Lyra beamed, tiptoeing gently beside me. “Senior years definitely going to be a banger.” “Ofcourse it would,” I said. My voice carrying my deep excitement of being back to school. “You just came back from a month of sex filled vacation.” I teased. Lyra chuckled. A sweet confirmation of what I just said. Lyra and her boyfriend Damian, had spent their entire holiday on a vacation. A sex oriented one at that. And I was sure of that because she would streak me pictures of her in either bikinis or straight up underwears. “How's Jett? How was the holiday for you two.” Lyra asked. Jett. The name nagged my stomach like I'd swallowed a hammer. “It was okay,” I lied. Jett, my closest male friend, my secret alpha crush since I was fourteen. I'd been close to him seven years now. Ever since he lost his mother to cancer. He'd cry on my shoulders for as long I could think of. Either when he missed his mom or when he was sad from a breakup. I'd be there for him. Play with him. Hike with him. Rumble with him. Lyra's voice dragged me back to reality. “Are you sure it was okay? Rav,” “Yes sure,” I lied again. It wasn't okay. Jett and I had texted last three weeks ago. He has either been out playing student president role, which he considered as preparation to him being the alpha of Frostfang Pack after his dad. Or busy with his dating shenanigans with one hot student in cheer team or the other. And the worst part? He'd streak every moment of him with them. He didn't even consider my feelings. Hell he didn't even seem to notice if I had one. I'd come to Everfrost just because of my crush for him. And since freshman year, he'd only been obsessing over one girl or the other. And this time around it was Sharon—the extravagant cheerleader. What a wishful delusional fool I was. Lyra coughed. Dragging me back from my thoughts once again. “You know...you winning Journalist of the year award end of junior year, one would think your lying skill would have improved..” “But nope, it just got worse.” “Don't tell me people do train to lie.” “Nope no sane person does,” Lyra chuckled. “But what you my friend did not do was tell Jett about your crush on him.” She said. Staring at me with those I'm-I-lying? eyes. “Nope I didn't.” My voice sounded raw under the frustration tugging inside my stomach. I wanted to tell Jett. To open up to him. Tell him how I've been crushing on him ever since we met for the first day. But i knew he wasn't ready for something committed. And I wasn't interested in being one of his come and go flings. So I didn't. “You know what?” Lyra said. Her hands placed on her jaw. A posture she'd take whenever she was about to come up with something absolutely ridiculous to do. “You're going to meet with Jett today, and you're going to tell him everything.” “Hell No.” I yelled. My voice causing a few close students to drag their gazes to Lyra and I for some brief seconds. But I didn't care. I wasn't going to throw myself to guy who I bet didn't even noticed if we hadn't texted in three weeks. That would make me desperate. Lyra rolled her eye. “Well, you do want you want Rav.” She blurted, her voice laced with the disappointment. Not the bad disappointment. The type of disappointment you get when the only person you want to see have a love affair in her life can't open up to a guy. “Just get yourself a lover, babe.” I smiled with a little nod. Lyra was fun one between us. And by fun, I mean full steamy kind of fun. The kind of fun that she'd hit a one night stand with a total stranger just to spite her boyfriend. “See ya later,” I say to her. While we did our special fist bump shake. “I have to go do my share of public service.” “Text me when you're done.” She said, heading off. I turned. Slamming my earpiece to my ear. Fingers hovering around my favorite spotify playlist. I clicked on of my favorites, Ordinary by Alex Warren. Pushing the slightly ajar door with my legs. The air inside the male athletes dressing room was clean. A proof that no one's been here for a long time. I shouldn't even be here. But that's what you get when you come late for public service day. Every other places and chores were already taken. And I was left with cleaning the male athletes dressing room. But the on the positive side. It wasn't resumption yet. So boys weren't swamped in here. I picked up the mop and bucket. Sliding open the one of the bathroom curtains. And that's when I saw it. Him. Naked. Completely. Muscular. The hot shower glided through his back. The steam evaporating off him like thunder would at thor. Fuck he is smoking hot. I could already feel the heat crawling up my body. My eyes ran through him in sync with the water dripping down his body. His was tall. Six ft, three athletic type of tall. His legs where trained, built. The kind of built you'd get if you'd hit the gym three hours everyday for the past God knows how long. His ass. Fuck—I never believed I'd hear myself say such—was beautiful. Sexy. Soft. My gaze tailored upward. His back was covered in fine tattoo that extended to his shoulders. I've never seen such detailed and clean tattoo on a guy. Most of the dudes at Everfrost had rough tattoos that'd turn you off instantly. But his was different. I stared a little longer. Allowing my eyes to take in the details of the tattoo. And it did. Something about the design of the two naked ladies clinging around a guy he had drawn at his back sent warmth between my thighs. Fuck. Who the fuck was this? I let go of the mop in my hand unintentionally. He turned. Swiftly. And my jaw followed. Dropping to the floor. My vision seemed to blur. Leaving only one part of him clear. His dick. Dangling. I swallowed. It was long. Big. Fuck. It was carved intricately like sculpture. Veins warped around it. Pulsing. I squeezed my legs. My panties felt damp. Geez, I was already wet. I looked up. Trying to distract myself from what I just saw. But his face didn't make the case better. Sharp jawline and high cheekbones that'd make you think he was young Henry Cavill. His mouth moved. Mumbling something I couldn't hear over the earpiece in my ear. And that was when it all settled in. My expression fading from surprise to shock immediately I recognized him.Raven POVThe air inside the hockey arena is warm as I enter. A few dozen of hockey players sitting outside the rink. While another few training inside the ice rink. Apart from that, are a few people scattered across the arena. I walk down the steps. Shoving my phone into my pocket. I knew Jace was here because he'd just posted a picture of him on the rink on his insta while I was at the cafeteria. Each step drew me closer to the rink. Heads snapping my way. But one stood out. Jace. A little smirk fixed at the corner of his lips. As he skates towards me. “An hour and ten minutes.” Jace types on his phone with one hand, shoving off his skates with the other.“Is that how long you've trained?” I asked.“Nope... How long it took you to come back.”“You keep a record of how long it took you to get a girl?”“I don't, but it took you shorter than I expected, so I guess I'd start now.” Jace steps out of the rink. “And by 'get a girl' have I got you?”Shit. Now I realize how stupid that sou
Raven POVThe class was supposed to last for an hour. But Mr. Velgoth never took the complete time in any of his classes. This time around all he did was divide us into groups. Senior year project groups. As journalism major, senior year project was a practical one, where each sets of students would be assigned to journal about a given place, group or event. I fixated at the screen. I couldn't wait to see what category I was placed in. Journalism had always been my passion, and I was damn good at it. The electronic board lit up with our names and groups and my stomach twisted. The class went quiet for at least five seconds as we all tried to find our names and groups. Before another wave of chattering steered up.I could already see my name in the first group alongside a name I'd dreaded for long.Zoey Bennett. She was a pain in the ass and a good one at that. Ever since freshman year, we'd be some sort of rivals, contending for the best grades in every class. Some students would e
Raven POVThe admin building swamped with senior year students the next day. All staring at Dean James as he addressed the crowd. He'd always do that the very first day of every year. And this year was no exception.I stare at my phone. The time was 8:45 am. Fifteen minutes more to my first class. Which meant I had extra ten minutes to go get a textbook from the library before heading straight to class. I raised my head. My eyes wandering about. Taking in the environment. Realizing how much I've missed this place. I know, I'm a nerd and holidays weren't my thing. My eyes wanders to the far left. And that's when I saw him. Jace. Blue joggers and what seemed to be a hockey team's hoody. Leaning at a bike with a smirk that screamed I'm-god's-gift-to-the-world.I try to look away but I couldn't. Which girl in the world could look away from this kind of beauty. He face was down. Focused on his phone that I'd fear if he even heard anything the dean had been saying at all. He looks up and
Raven POVThis can't be true.He was familiar. Like real real familiar. Jett type of familiar.Jett. The name feeling like a slap in the face. He looked unrealistically like Jett. My Jett. My Alpha Crush. But it couldn't be him. Something was off. Jett had a descent french crop hairstyle and not a jet-black curly-wavy mullet hairstyle. Nor did Jett have stormy-blue eyes. He stood there. Unfazed. “Let me know when you're done entertaining yourself,” he said. And I could hear him now because I'd already shoved down my earpiece.I snapped. Letting go of the bucket in my hand and dashed out of the dressing room. Still not In believe of what I just saw.I try to say something, but the only word that came out was, “Lyra,” loudly, and luckily for me she was just at the doorway.“What’s wrong Rav?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.“You wouldn't believe what I just saw.” I panted. Hands grabbing her shoulder as I tried to breathe.“C'mon Rav, I watch horror movies for fun... What's
