Chapter 4: Don't touch me

"Is this how you flirt?" Cade can’t seem to forget what he saw. Those actions were an indirect act of invitation. No matter what, he was still alpha and alpha has its needs… stronger needs.

Seth who was handling the contract with Mr. Salvians paused in the midst of it. What was this Alpha saying? Flirting? Well, that was right, however... did he make it so obvious?

"What are you talk-"

Mr. Salvians looked him straight in the eye, crossed his legs and arms, "You want me to wear your designs in front of you "only" and now you want me to take off my clothes? Seems like you are thirsty, should I quench it for you?"

There was a total sense of filthiness at that stare and tone. He gave so much emphasis to the word quench. Cade was known to dislike omegas in general, for him they were all using their pheromones to lure the Alpha, to snag one, to get a mark and get themselves pregnant to tie them to the eternal partnership without love but only lust and greed.

"I won't be surprised if you use your pheromones next... Mr. Lacklored."

Ahhh! my Alpha is totally badass... such a mouth should be washed clean by Sodium Hypochlorite to kill all bad bacteria.

"I think you're overreacting Mr. Salvians. Don't use that dominance and arrogance on me. You said you don't want to wear my design but as a designer, I need to see my muse wear it to have inspiration..."

Do I really need to explain all this... oh! well, I don't like misunderstanding, after all, that just creates more problems.

"Also, I'm going to measure your body that's why you need to take off your clothes. You don't need to get naked, just that one layer is fine... or... is this Mr. Salvians's way of flirting? insulting me to get my attention?"

You don't need to my Alpha... you already have it since I was a kid. Why is he so hard to talk to?

"That strategy will not get you laid Mr. Salvians..." Seth rose up and fix his clothes, "I'll leave the documents here, have your secretary send it over after you sign… and tell me when is the best time to measure you. The earlier the better."

Mr. Salvians was left speechless, unable to utter a single word. An omega mocking him, his pride was attacked again. After that omega showed him those… now he was mocking him. Did he misunderstand him? Or was this a new strategy to get him? 

"Then I’ll-" he stopped in his words, something was not right, what was that smell? A scent of peach was covering the whole office and it was making him... 

"Mr. Sal- Mr. Salvians, let me use t-the bathro-"

Seth was blushing red; his body was acting weird again and it was not the right timing. He was searching his pockets but unfortunately, he forgot to bring his medicines again.

His knees went weak and his eyes went blurry, it was starting. He is on his heat cycle.

Why now? this Alpha will think I did it on purpose.

He forced himself to walk to the bathroom but his legs betrayed him, he falls to the floor and can't lift himself back up.

In this world, omegas went into heat three to four times a year that could last three to four days. They could either inject themselves with a suppressant to survive the heat cycle or have an alpha to help them get relieved. The first one was harmful to the body while the latter needs trust and protection.

An omega in heat has a higher chance of getting pregnant.

Before he could try to stand up again, two long and muscled arms envelop his body. The man was blushing red as he and his body was hot and sweating. Seth can hear the heavy breathing of the alpha and a light growl entered his ears.

He shivered.

"Still denying your plan, Mr. Lacklored," Cade whispered in his ears while fighting the urge of lust.

"Tsk. Asshole! I did n-not plan this... I don't w-want sex with- without love..."

Seth's body was getting hotter and hotter and Cade embracing him didn't help at all. He can smell Cade’s pheromones he can feel those firm chests and those sturdy arms holding him. Thinking of it makes that part of his body erect some more.

He can feel the alpha sniffing his glands, “… smells good… haa… you smell good.”

Seth with his little sanity left in him sense the danger, "Coldwater... b-bathe me in cold water"

"As if that would help you. Let me-"

"DON'T! don’t you dare touch me... just c-cold water and c-call, my secretary."

Mr. Salvians was shocked by that solid resistance that brought him back to sanity some parts of him were delighted but a part of him was screaming to be freed. This peach scent was affecting every cell in his body.  He wants this scent all to himself.

"If you say so."

Fighting all temptation, Cade put him inside the bathroom as requested and open the cold shower. He then went out and lock the door. Outside the bathroom, he took his handkerchief and cover his nose to lessen the effect on him.

He can't stay in the same room with him but he didn't leave, afraid that someone will barge in and catch on to that smell like a wolf guarding his territory but why does he care? Why does he have this sense of ownership of that omega? Just the thought that someone will... 

He slams his hand so hard on the table and his eyes darken, his inner voice was telling him to devour Seth, “Seth Lacklored what the hell did you do to me?!"

After thirty minutes, Alexis arrived at the office, when he received the call from Mr. Salvians, he left his meeting in a hurry. Alexis ensures to bring Seth's medicine anywhere he goes because he knew how forgetful his friend was.

"Mr. Salvians! Where is he?" he was gasping for air as he arrived. No time to exchange pleasantries but he was welcomed with a loud growl. Alexis knew this action; nobody should enter a wolf's den with omega in heat unless they want to die.

“I’m a beta. I came in peace.” He said almost shouting.

"Bathroom."

Alexis’s barge opened to the bathroom and found his friend soaked in cold water, shivering and face so red. "Little Seth... take this." After injecting the suppressant, Alexis covers his friend with his coat and sprayed pheromone concealer to avoid problems.

Seth half-opens his eyes and after seeing his friend's face he sobs, pouring all his tears to him, "Ali... it hurts. It hurts so much."

"Why did you endure it again? You have a very healthy Alpha outside that can help you!"

"Y-you know why right? Don't scold me, just take me home."

"If he only knew how luc-" Seth covers his mouth and smiled at him. A smile in the midst of the struggle he had with his body.

While leaving the office, Cade’s eyes followed them. He hates seeing someone touching Seth even if it’s a beta and he can’t understand why.

He took him home and called the doctor over to examine Seth. Usually, the medicine will last twenty-four hours but the effect was getting shorter. It could only last for four hours now. 

He was taking this medicine for five years and in those five years, this was the first time he encountered such a situation. Why does it have to be with that Alpha?

Ah! I bet he's mad right now.

The scent of Seth still lingers in the four corners of the office. Cade was pensive the whole day, he wanted to leave to escape that scent but his body won't move the way he wanted to. He wanted to sniff that aroma until the very last air holding it. He wanted that peach scent all by himself.

"You hypnotized me with your scent. I applaud you... Mr. Lacklored."
