Rafael’s POV

Saturday morning, I waved goodbye to my wildflower and watched as she drove off down the street. I drove to the coffee shop to see how Cheyenne is doing and when I walked inside, I was livid. Abaddon was at the register talking with her, I stepped up behind him and looked at her, her eyes were glazed over as if she was deep in thought. I cleared my throat, and she snapped out of it, shaking her head and pinching the bridge of her nose, “sorry, what was your order again?”

He huffed as he turned glaring at me, his lips in a thin line as he spoke, “I asked for a cappuccino with an espresso chaser.”

I couldn’t help but give him a big toothy smile, “I’m sure your taking that to go as well aren’t you, old friend.”

His nose flared at me, and he nodded, “seems so.” He turned his head, and her back was to him, I chuckled as she turned and placed the coffee on the top of the counter for him to take.
