Chapter Ten

The rest of the week was quiet, but I knew something was brewing behind the scenes. That toxic, peculiar stench of humiliation was lingering in the air, alerting me. I did not know when I would face that disaster but I knew it was coming… I was accustomed to this familiar feeling in my gut.
