Crown Her, KING!
Crown Her, KING!
Author: Queenes

1. Tagged an imposter

The elevator door opened at the top floor of the magnanimous Soft-Life Empire, to reveal a beautiful young woman. Her smile was radiant as she made her way towards the secretary's corner, taking careful steps with the few people with her, to ensure the lovely cake in her hand remained safe.

"Is he in?" She smiled in question to the young secretary who looked like she's seen a ghost.

"M-Mrs. Robertson?" Lisa Williams wanted to be sure her eyes weren't playing tricks on her.

Loki watched her husband's secretary in amusement. "Is there a problem? Is the chairman not in?" She patiently asked, even though she was certain he should be in.

After all, she had helped him get ready for work a few hours earlier, so except he had an emergency meeting outside the company, Glen should be on seat.

It was their fifth marriage anniversary today and she's decided to surprise him at the office today, a habit that was unusual of her.

Loki was the perfect housewife and Glen had always been comfortable with that. He most times even encouraged her not to be bothered with thoughts of working as he was very much capable of providing every need of her life. And truly, whatever she needed, he always provided.

She was happy with her marriage and was daily in love with her perfect husband even though sometimes she felt her life was too good to be real.

And so today, Loki decided to do something out of the box, something quite unusual. It was their anniversary after all; there was no harm in surprising her darling husband once in a while.

Tired of waiting for the flustered secretary to say something, Loki decided she would go see her husband directly.

"Y-you really shouldn't go in, Ma'am." But Loki frowned at the secretary's words and thought the lady was acting weird today. She ignored her and proceeded to enter her husband's exquisite office.

And it became a decision she regretted instantly.

The moment she walked in, the door had barely closed after her before her expression turned pale instantly and the cake in her hand dropped to the floor in her shock. The sight of her husband bending another woman against his office desk and fucking her was so unbelievable and insane that a choked sob instantly left her throat.

Never in her wildest dream did Loki ever saw something like this coming. And although she knew what she's seeing at this moment was real, she wished she was dreaming instead or at least imagining it. She wished that when she shut her eyes and reopened them, she would see Glen busy at his desk working on his laptop.

"G-Glen," She sobbed, an unimaginable pain stabbing at her heart and threatening to break her apart.

On realizing they had company other themselves, Glen and his woman stopped and adjusted their clothes. Then he turned to look at the woman who had been his wife for five years. His expression held not even the slightest panic, regret or emotion over his actions.

Loki couldn't believe her eyes. Was this really her husband? The man she loved and the man who supposedly loved her?

Her gaze travelled to the other woman and a gasp of shock instantly left her lips and that of a few others just as a bottle of champagne dropped to the floor and shattered, sending pieces of glass flying across the grand office and one piece eventually slicing against her tender cheek and leaving a small cut on her face.

Apparently, the few people she came with to surprise her husband with music and a romantic atmosphere had also entered the office with her. And instead of them surprising the man, they all got surprised.

Loki stared at the young woman who had now placed a hand around Glen's arm possessively and romantically and she instantly felt like screaming.

"My face..." she gasped. "Glen, what's going on? Why is she..." Loki felt like she was staring at a mirror and seeing her reflection. No, more like the perfect or artificial version of her.

Glen had cheated on her with not just any woman but with a woman who seemed like the perfect version of herself.

The lady's face was slightly slimmer than hers, and she was slightly taller, slender, curvier and more busty than Loki. It felt like she was taken right out of an animated movie. Other than these differences, the woman looked so much like her.

This explains the secretary's bafflement earlier. Just where in the world did Glen get her from?

Still bewildered by the entire scenario, Loki hadn't had time to think when her husband called for security.

"Throw these imposters out of my company right now!" He ordered.

"What!" It was too unbelievable to be true but the slight pain she felt from the cut on her cheek reminded Loki that this was her sudden reality. She really wasn't dreaming.

The security were about to take her away too when Glen's cold voice interrupted. "Leave her, we still have an unfinished business."

"Glen, why?" Loki asked the moment they were alone as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Why are you doing this? What happened to the man I love?"

"Why?" Glen scoffed. "Why ask 'why' when the reason is so obvious? Can't you see how perfect and flawless she is? Lucy is everything you would never be and so, she's the best partner for a man as me. She suits my image perfectly." The lady gently caressed Glen's arm and went on to smirk at Loki.

"Here," He tossed a document to her and it fell at her feet, revealing the headline.

It was a divorce agreement document and Loki was so stunned that her knees grew weak and she fell to her floor in her shock.

"Sign the divorce papers and the alimony is yours. However, you must never tell anyone about us," he suddenly chuckled and Loki raised her gaze to meet his, stunned by the intensity of his betrayal and deceit, "not like there's anyone to tell anyway. That aside, no one would believe you. Why?" Glen smirked. "Lucy here, is a proof of that." He said and Loki's eyebrows twitched at that.

"What do you mean?"

"Sign the papers right now, Loki, and move out of my house before the day is over." He added and Loki's tears dropped some more. Was this really the man she married?

"What if I refuse to sign it?" She challenged. But Glen smirked in a manner that sent chills down her spine. She had never seen him this intimidating and deadly all through the years of their marriage.

"Darling, you wouldn't dare. And for your sake Loki, you really shouldn't dare."

Glen was a scumbag but how did she never knew? Did he pretend to her for the past five years? Did he ever even love her? Or was it all a lie?

"D-did you ever love me, Glen?" She asked, tears clouding her vision and rolling down her cheeks silently. Her next action would be determined by his response.

But her husband's answer to her question was by calling of security, while his supposedly perfect woman watched scornfully.
