Escape, Caught, Nightmares And Jealousy

Eliana POV.

My steps light and my eyes roaming around the hallways, I found that Grayson was nowhere to be seen and with a smile, I began for the front door that would lead our of the healing bay but just as I went to open the door.

My whole body was pulled backwards and I glanced up to find Grayson holding unto the edge of my clothes with a knowing and unimpressed look on his face.

“You caught me” I deflated solemnly as he began to pull me back towards the room without a word, when we got there he deposited my ass on the bed and fixed me to an IV drip.

“What's that for?” I found myself asking as I slouched over the bed post and he smirked for the first time.

“To keep you asleep for now so you don't go around causing trouble for me. I'm a dignified healer, you know. I have a reputation to uphold and that won't happen if you keep trying to break everything up in you” he waved at me as my eyes began to get blurry and I tried lifting my arms up only for it to fall down to the bed again.

I groaned low in my throat as my system shut down and I fell unconscious.

Nightmare.

“This was all your fault..”

“You worthless piece of trash that came from me..” my eyes widened with fear as it met that of my mother, hanging on the rope.

Her eyes stared at me, lifeless but filled with hatred and distaste. No.. I cried out.

This was not on me, no, I can't be to blame

“Delusional. What do you have to make you survive huh?” Her voice rang out again loudly in my ears and I crumpled to the ground, my hands coming to close up my ears as the sound got more louder and louder.

“You should have died, you useless thing. I was carrying two alpha males in me” it was not my fault.

I couldn't have known any of this but I should have been strong enough to at least protect my family.

It was my fault that they died. Alpha Gerard’s cruel smile flashes before my eyes and rage had me pulling myself up to my feet and lunging at him.

The image disappeared before my eyes and I swirled around the dark room I found myself in, finding none other than the mate who had been the one to murder my family.

“So weak” he spat and I felt my heart break all over again, I fell to my knees as his voice got louder and more closer.

“So useless. Unfit and unworthy to even be better than this dirt you are now” he spat over and over again, the voice Increasing in volume and ringing so close to my ears that I felt a liquid rush down my ears.

I raised my hand to touch the liquid and when I checked my hands, I saw blood.

I raised my head up to stare at the evil man who had been the source of my pain and torture and found a gruesome scene.

Mother was bleeding from her stomach, which was open and her organs were out and father's head was cracked open.

Reality

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I sprang out of the bed. Eyes still finding the dark space and thinking it was still the nightmare that I seemed to be stuck in.

“No, no, no” I screeched loudly when a light came on and without thinking, I lunged at the person before me but got caught by the person.

I shrieked as I tried to escape the hood but then a sound filled my ears. A purr that had reality crashing into me and I instantly began to feel the sparks from our contact.

I was no longer in that nightmare?... I couldn't tell but my hands came to tighten around this person as the purr increased and soon, I was drifting off to a peaceful sleep.

“What happened here?” Filled my ears softly as I began to wake from my sleep. My whole body ached but I felt comfortable and I snuggled deeper into this magic bed.

But then it vibrated and I yelped as I went to Juno off of it but was caught … i didnt understand how that was possible. Did bed have hands and why did it vibrate?.

I pushed open my eyes forcefully to come face to a chest and I scrambled backwards, glancing up to find a smirking Fermion.

How was he here? And how had he even gotten here in the first place.

My questions must have shown on my face because someone spoke up from behind me.

“It would seem you are already beginning to feel some connections into your bond for Fermion to feel some of your pain” Grayson explained but I didn't understand what he was saying and he sighed with exasperation before turning to Fermion.

“Do the explanations” he said and Fermion cleared at his throat and I tried to mirror what he did but yelped when my throat hurt so bad.

What had caused that?

“You must have exhausted your vocal cords with all that screaming” Grayson's voice was sympathetic and I appreciated that it was without pity.

“What they're trying to say is that Fermion felt that you were in pain and due to your emotional broadcast into the bond unconsciously” a voice that I found familiar explained and I turned around to find Fermion's little sister. Myra.

“Word for word. Yes” Grayson stared at her with something I recognized but she didn't seem to pay him any mind and he deflated slightly which made me feel what I had felt when the same was done to me in my former pack.

“Shoo, we have much to talk about” she grabbed Fermion's arms and my eyes zeroed in on the action with a small growl which has her pulling away with a smile and Fermion turned to me with a smirk.

“Feeling jealous already?” He asked and I huffed before turning away and he laughed, which had the others going still for reasons unknown to me and they stared him down with varying shades of shock.

“I'll be back soon, okay. Little mate” he pecked my head before he stood to his full height and left the room with Grayson who kept glancing back at Myra and when his eyes met mine, I found myself unconsciously giving him a wink.

“What??” He spluttered before glancing forward and a small laugh left my lips for the first time in ages which had them all stopping to look at me.
