The whispering Echo

We dashed out of wood in a frantic hurry, as though our lives depended on it. My mind had gone numb, unable to process the events that had just transpired. The night had been filled with strange happenings that defied all explanation. What had happened to my body? I couldn't comprehend it.

Panic surged through me as I realized that no one was following us, yet the sense of dread hung heavy in the air. The silence was deafening, and all I could hear was the pounding of my own heart.

My team members and I had been on a scavenger hunt, but now that was the last thing on our minds. The thrill of the game had been replaced with the fear of the unknown. Our survival was all that mattered at that moment.

As we ran, I noticed that my teammates too were completely shaken, their faces contorted with fear. We were united in our shared terror.
