Chapter 3: The Curse

He held my waist and we turned to where the voice came from. Laia was above us on her flying broom.

“What are you doing here again, Laia?” He asked her.

“Why are you kissing her!” I knew she was younger and immature, I should understand her. I calmed myself and didn’t speak.

“Why not? she’s my mate.”

“I am your mate!” She insisted, that she was too young to understand what we mate for werewolves, she couldn’t understand how sacred mate bonds were.

“Go home, Laia. I shouldn’t have saved you!” He lost his patience so I squeeze his palm a little.

“NO! I am your mate. You’re my knight in shining armor, she doesn’t deserve you she’s ugly.” I was about to speak when Kylo angrily snarled.

“How dare you?” He was angrier than I was so I let him handle the situation. The little one's infatuation has been a little crazy.

“It’s true!” He was about to jump and catch her when I pulled him. He shouldn't harm the little girl. He knew I didn’t want him to do it so he howled to call our pack.

“You saved me! You should be my husband!” She shouted when she realized he called our pack.

“Laia, enough. You’ll find another man who is for you. Moon goddess bonded us, and it’s sacred.” I explained to her but she suddenly pointed her wand at me.

“I, Laia Ashville swear that his Luna will be the misery of his pack members,” and she flicked his wand to me. The pink light hit me and everyone arrived in time to witness that. He stepped in front of me but it was too late.

“What have you done? You will pay for this, Laia!” Kylo was so mad and I could feel him shaking.

“If I won’t be your Luna then no one will.” She said vanishing in the air.

“YOUR FAMILY WILL PAY, LAIA!” He shouted even if she was nowhere to be found. He turned to me and check my whole body.

“Are you okay?” He asked and I nodded, I think that curse was too weak since I didn’t feel anything.

“Velle, are you okay.” My mother came to me and held my face she check every inch of me too.

“I’m fine, mom. I don’t feel anything.” I answered yet everyone was worried. I saw guilt in his face so I pulled his hand. “I’m fine.”

“I shouldn’t have saved that little brat.” He regretfully said. He worriedly look me in the eye to make sure I wasn’t lying. I gave him an assuring smile, he kissed me on my forehead.

“Are you sure?” He asked, witch's words were powerful and even though she was young she was still a witch.

“Return to the Pack.” Alpha Kaleb order everyone so they looked at me to make sure I was fine before heading back to the packed village. Mom and Dad started running back to the Alpha too.

“’ Let’s go, it’s not safe in here.” He said and I nodded. We shifted and ran to follow them, he tailed me until we got into the pack. I stopped to wait for him.

The Alpha order us to stay in our houses and take a rest. He decided to cool down before talking about it.

“See you tomorrow.” He said and I smiled. What choice do I have?

“I hope I could stay with you all night to make sure you’re fine.” I felt him wrap his arms around my waist and his chin rested on my shoulder.

“I’ll be fine.”

“Don’t think about it too much, rest for now, okay?” He said and I nodded again. I felt him kiss my shoulder which made me smile.

“Okay.”

“Lavelle.” I saw my mom standing by the doorway waiting for me. Kylo walked me to my house and smiled at my mom. He stepped back and ran to his house after squeezing my hand a bit.

Mom gently pulled me into the house and closed the door. He made me sit on the couch while dad was sitting across me from. “Lavelle, tell me honestly. How are you feeling?” The serious voice of my father was always been powerful like an Alpha.

I shook my head and smiled, “I promise, dad. I feel nothing but happiness. We shouldn’t ruin my night. And besides Laia is eleven years old, she was too young for a powerful curse. She isn't a pure witch.”

“I know how selfless you are, tell me what you really feel.”

“I feel nothing. I only felt the cold air hit me when the small light hit my stomach.” He stared at me for a little long to insure I was telling the truth.

After a little more he sigh and opened his arms asking me to come over. I stood and hugged him. He kissed my forehead, “Tell me immediately if you ever feel something weird, okay?”

“Of course.” I hugged him again and kissed his cheeks.

“Love, that brat was still a witch we shouldn’t take this as nothing.” Mom interjected.

“I know, I will speak the Alpha for this,” dad answered. I held my mom's hand and brought it to my face. I made her touch my face and I smiled.

“Mom, don’t worry too much. I am fine.” She finally smiled and nodded.

“Okay-okay, you should rest now.”

My night ended that way, it was supposed to be the happiest time but Laia ruined it. I looked at my ceiling and waited for the drowse to take over me.

What if it was true, what if I would cause misery to my pack?

“I shouldn’t worry too much.”

***

“Lavelle,” I bow my head to greet the Luna and the Alpha.

“Good morning, Alpha, Luna.”

“Good morning,” Alpha Kaleb answered. He signaled us to sit down around the circular table.

All the upper class was here to talk about what happened to me last night. The Gamma and his wife, The Beta(my dad) and Mom, and of course the Alpha and Luna. I sat next to Mom while Kylo sat next to me.

“How are you, Lavelle?” Luna Lorain asked.

“I’m fine Luna, I feel honestly well.” I respectfully answered yet the worry in her eyes was still there and she turned to the Alpha.

“May I speak, Alpha?” Dad requested.

“You may.”

“I have talked to my daughter, she assured me that she feels well. Yet I couldn’t sit still without an assurance from the elders.” My father said and my mother strongly agreed.

“She said, Lavelle will be the cause of the pack’s misery. That means the curse isn’t directly for her.” My heart fell when the Alpha said that, it could be. I felt nothing because my pack will suffer for it. No way.

“We can not conclude easily, Alpha. Laia was too young and naive to understand her power. Casting spell maybe needs more experience.” Kylo suddenly said while holding my hand under the table. The Alpha looked at him and then at me before taking a deep sigh.

“That’s how I understand the situation, son.” He answered which calmed him down. My father was bothered by what he had said too.

“If it’s that what it meant then the curse was successful, no one in the pack was in misery.” My mother said which lift my mood a bit.

“Do you wish to speak, Lavelle?” The Alpha asked me.

“You’re maybe right that the curse wasn’t directly for me, Laia likes Kylo and she wanted Kylo to abandon me if his pack would suffer because of me. She said before she vanished, that if she can’t be his mate then no one will. There should be a loophole here.” He nodded and I think he agreed.

“Yeah, if the cursed was successful, what could end the curse?” He stated and everyone didn’t dare to speak.

“You and the Hillstones will visit the elder’s house.” He told Kylo.

“Galoy, monitor the.” The Alpha ordered his Gamma. No one added any concern so the meeting ended that way.

My family with Kylo will travel to the elder’s house at mount Peramidia. We were running, dad lead the way and Kylo was behind me and my mom. No matter how I calm my thoughts and make myself believe that everything was fine, I couldn’t.

From a lame obsession, we would risk our lives to travel to the east where Mt. Peramidia was. Or was it lame? It could be true, we heard her clear and loud. I was looking straight to the way until dad stopped. I looked around in confusion.

“Hahahaha where are you guys going?” A tinny voice resounded then I saw her.

“Laia! Undo the course now!” Kylo ordered her but she was only smiling at me.

“I know how to cut the curse, you don’t need your elders.” She was floating and even dancing in the air.

“How?” I didn’t know where my courage came from, I was too desperate to stop this mess.

“Why would I tell?” said she. Then she laughed like a mad girl.

“You want him, right?” She stopped and looked at me. A wicked smile slowly crept on her lips.

“Yeah, right. And what do you suggest?” She was clearly a little girl when she talk and react, she didn’t deserve this kind of power. She was using it for lame reasons.

“I can reject him as my mate,”

“Velle!” He warned me, that he should trust me. I couldn’t help to look at him.

“Really?” She delightfully asked and clapped her hands then she started laughing again. “You don’t deserve to be the Luna.”

That insulted me hard, she didn’t buy it.

I heard my parents snarl looking up at her.

“Laia, stop this nonsense antic, you are risking lives here, undo the curse now,” I ordered her.

She raised her right eyebrow and crossed her arms. “Nothing is nonsense but you.” She snapped her finger and I felt my knees go heavy making me fall.

“Velle!” I heard them shouted my name but my eyes were on her. I couldn’t contain my anger anymore. “Calm down.” He said in my ears which help a lot to calm my breath.

“The only way to end the curse?” She asked in a serious tone. “…death.”

  • Cursed Luna   Epilogue

Chapter 79: Epilogue“Bring him back…” I was begging her to do that. I was ready to kneel in front of her. I have no right to ask him back because I was the one who killed him. I just wanted to see him again. To hold him again. I was filled with pain and anger brought me to that situation. I was blinded by their accusation that Zild only used me. I let them taint him. I was doing things that I thought served them right for betraying me. And it was too late for me to realize that I went too far. I lost him before my eyes. “I could not bring back the dead. You wanted him to die.” I couldn’t say I did not mean it or any excuses for my actions. I was losing my hope, but I looked up to her and kneeled. “Then take my life so I can be with him.” It was desperate, I know. But I knew I would not be able to live like this. If I couldn’t have him by my side then I’d rather die. “How about the thing that you fought for? The purpose that you carry on.” I looked around and saw my peopl

Chapter 78: Clash of Hearts The three men were the Legend Vampires. The two pure ones and one half-blooded. Zild was snarling at them while Gael and Ryvan stood behind him holding their swords. They were the three princes who came from a Royal family that was supposed to be the Kings of their clans. Everyone thought they were alone, but a werewolf walked in and stood in front of Zild. He had red fur and stood with power. He growled harder than Lavelle did, and his voice was filled with power. His power was recognized by the werewolves. He was a direct descendant of the Royal Alpha. Zild stood up carrying his mate and anger was visible in his eyes. “You have no right to do that ritual anymore!” He said and Minerva walked closer. “We have no choice! She had cause—” “Leave!” She flinched when he snapped at her like that. “You can’t handle her—” “Are you saying I cannot handle my mate, Minerva?” She looked around and she knew that they could not fight against them. The werewo

  • Cursed Luna   Execution Ritual

Chapter 77: Execution RitualShe slowly turned to the main door with a smile. She saw Alpha Zenith with the witches with her. Soon she noticed that the whole palace was surrounded by werewolves and witches. “What a lovely visitor.”“Do not harm the child, Lavelle.” “And had guts to speak my name with her filthy mouth.” The Lavelle she was talking about was entirely different from the Lavelle she knew. She had hopes that she could do it, but she lost it and now she had to be executed. Alpha Zenith stands back and lets the army fight her. Countless spells flicker from their wands and Lavelle easily repelled at once. “It was a mistake that you stepped into my territory.” Some started to fall because of the heavy force that surrounds them. Soon the werewolves broke in through the window and attacked her. She swiftly moved to avoid them and using her hands she quickly stabbed their heart. She raised her bloody left arm with a smile. “Do not worry, this would be quick and not pa

  • Cursed Luna   The Mad Queen

Chapter 76: The Mad QueenShe realized that it was truly Lavelle who she hated so much. She started crying in anger and pain. “You are no different to me, Laia. Don’t tell me you have forgotten what you did to me?” “Liar! Lavelle can never do something like this! She’s weak!” The mad Queen started laughing at her and pointed to herself. “Do I look weak? Tell me, Laia, do I look WEAK?” She sobbed harder. “It doesn’t mean I appear weak, I am weak. I appear soft-hearted I am weak. I could crash you like a lemon anytime anywhere I like. And it doesn’t mean I kept letting your cruelness pass, I will let it pass forever. I did nothing even if you ruined me before that doesn’t mean I wanted you to keep going.” She raised her hand and was about to slap her, but her nails were out. She clawed her across her face, and she passed out. She looked up and raised her hand. She was smiling like everything that was happening was pleasing to her. She walked back to the palace and as she passe

Chapter 75: Emotional TortureIt hurts, I knew it hurts but I could not believe it. It was impossible. Vien died long ago. “She was reincarnated they say, and she recently remembered Zild.” She said like she could hear what I was thinking. “As I said before, Laia. You cannot fool me again.” “Do you want another proof that I met them and talked to them?” I glared at her. Only if she was on the ground, I would’ve jumped to her and torn her head off her body. “You better shut your mouth.” “Oh, give me a sec.” She vanished and returned in a few seconds. “They gave me this, ask me if they could return this to you.” I could feel my anger getting out of control within me when I saw who she was holding. “This puppy is kind of huge.” “Lefu…” “And it's heavy—ops!” She suddenly dropped her, so I jumped away from Argon to catch her, but she was fast to catch her first. “Laia! She has nothing to do with us. Let her go, she’s just a child!” “She’s a puppy, can’t you see?” She eve

Everyone stopped and my people was forced to kneel on the ground. Everyone was looking at us. I let them down again. “Is that how you really fight, Queen?” One of my men shouted. “It was nothing back when I saw you fight against King.” My eyes widen when I heard that. I fought against Zild? I hide my emotion and did not show I was confused. When did I fight him? “You are truly a disappointment,” Argon said and dropped Jane carelessly. “I wanted to play with you but you’ve killed a valuable ally, so I need to punish you.” He said and got his katana. Jane tried to stand up but he already point his katana at her. “You can’t do that,”“I can! I can, Lavelle. In fact, I can cut every one of you one by one. You may kill every werewolf here. It doesn’t matter, they are Kylo’s army. With or without them, I can take you down.” “You better n
