MELINDA’S POV

I groaned as I tried to shift to my side. My entire body felt so heavy and numb.

“I think she is regaining her consciousness.”

“That is surprising. Her condition was so bad and now… I don’t know what to say… It is as if she is healing on her own.” The faint mumbles pierced through the darkness surrounding me.

I groaned again, but this time in frustration. Not only was I alive, I had gotten myself admitted to a human hospital. Shit! If mom ever found out, she would be pissed. That is, if I made it out of here.
