“I took this damn vacation because you forced me to. Do you know how much work would have been done if I was at work right now? When I get back, I'm firing your ass. How could you connive with my father to backstab me?” I complained as I paced around the room of this large ship.
“You're making it sound like we took you to hell. It's just for 2 weeks. I wouldn't mind if you stayed longer though. It's Christmas. Lighten up a bit, man.” His annoying voice replied from the other side and I groaned in frustration.
“Fuck you, Lawrence.”
“I love you too, boss.” He snickered as he said those words and I cringed. He sure loved to get on my nerves whenever he got the chance.
“Have fun, make friends, and don't you dare wear any damn mask around. Thank goodness I hid all of them before you left.” He added as he cackled loudly and I clenched my fists in anger.
“Lawrence!”
I hated going around without wearing my face masks. The plan was to keep my face hidden for as long as I could. I wasn't ugly, it was quite the opposite actually. No one knew what I really looked like, not even my employees at home or work.
Except Lawrence, of course, and my dad. My step-sister doesn't even know what I look like. The abnormal one in our family. Dad couldn't find another woman to remarry to, he had to marry a single mom.
I don't hate them, no. I just don't feel comfortable with them. I've never felt comfortable around anyone except Lawrence. Even my father irks me a lot.
“You're gonna be fine. Go get yourself a girlfriend, and have fun for once. Who knows, you might finally lay and be laid.”
“You're fired already, Lawrence.” I hung up as I flung my phone on the bed and pulled my hair in frustration.
How could he be so brazen? Just wait till I get back to work, he won't be able to run his mouth after then.
I had to go for a ride. That should clear my head a bit. I put on my helmet and headed out where everyone was talking loudly and singing Christmas songs.
I sighed in relief when I saw my baby sitting just where I had parked it, waiting for me to sit on it and ride like there was no tomorrow. I don't care how vulgar that sounds.
I walked up to my beautiful bike and a sharp gasp escaped my lips when I noticed that the tires had been punctured. Who would actually dare to do such a thing?
“My baby.” I almost cried as I placed my hands on my head, which was covered by the helmet. This was the only thing I cherished more than my life.
Calling the mechanic late at night wouldn't be fair to him at all. I had no choice but to wait till tomorrow morning before I could get my baby fixed. I was beyond devastated.
Now, I needed a drink but the damn bar was too crowded. I managed to slip my way through and asked the bartender to help with a bottle of whiskey.
While I waited, I turned to see the crowd cheering at someone in the middle of the bar and I narrowed my eyes slightly to see who or what they were cheering for. Not that I cared anyway, but to cure my boredom, I looked.
A girl was dancing wildly to the loud music that was playing and boy, she was a terrible dancer. By terrible, I mean terribly good. She had mad moves and I found myself ooh-ing as she worked her body to the beat.
Finally, the music came to an end and she giggled as she stumbled over to my side and when she caught sight of me, she narrowed her eyes as she pointed her finger at me.
“You look like my ex-boyfriend.” She said and I let out a soft chuckle as I ignored her drunk ass. She can't even see my face. The bartender finally returned after what seemed like ages and handed me the bottle of whiskey.
“Hey! I'm talking to you! How dare you cheat on me with that bimbo? Wasn't I good enough for you?” She mumbled and I assumed that she was going through a heartbreak. But to my surprise, she wasn't crying, it actually felt like she was reading a book as she spoke.
I stood up to walk away when she gripped my collar and then collapsed on me. She passed out on me. Damn it. I was gonna pull her off me and place her on the floor but the way everyone looked at me made me think twice.
With a resigned sigh, I picked her up and walked out of the bar that was already beginning to feel suffocating. I didn't know where she was from, neither did I know where she was headed. But I couldn't leave her out here like this, she was too vulnerable right now and could be easily taken advantage of.
I took her to my cabin and placed her on the bed carefully, wondering what mess I had gotten myself into. Lawrence would be very happy to hear this.
I took off the helmet and poured the whiskey into a glass as I gulped the whole thing down. Eugh, it tasted stronger than usual. I didn't mind though and gulped down another glass.
“I hate you!” I heard the drunk lady yell as she sat up and I quickly reached for my helmet and placed it over my head as I stood up to check up on her.
“You don't hate me, you hate the jerk that hurt you,” I mumbled and her eyes moved to meet mine and for a second, I was mesmerized by her ruby eyes. This was the first time I ever saw ruby as someone's eye color.
She squinted her eyes at me and a soft ‘ah’ escaped her lips as she nodded drowsily and tried to get out of the bed.
“You're not that jerk, you're a weird man that wears helmets even in a room.” She mumbled as she stumbled out of bed and I rushed to her side as I held her to stop her from falling.
“You're warm.” She muttered as she raised her head to look at me and the moment our eyes met, my heart did a weird thing in my chest.
What was this weird feeling?
Levrea's POV “Yes…I still want him on his knees.” I answered. Kieran looked at me closely, “You still want him to beg you, or you want him?” He asked.I really want Jax, but I can't tell him that because that will push him away. I still need him for my little act “Mmm…” “Okay then, let's go inside and sleep, we have an event to attend.” he grabbed my hands and helped me up.Back inside the room, I lost the feeling of sleeping close to him. I want to be with Jax, not him. I start strolling through my phone. It has been a very long time since I checked my social media. So, I took my time and answered all the messages in my inbox. Beside me was Kieran sleeping peacefully like a baby, his hand wrapped around my waist as if we were a real couple. As I was about to go offline, a message popped up on the screen. I clicked it open and saw a message from an anonymous person. “Stay away from Kieran if you want to survive.”Short, simple but carrying the weight of things that sank into my
Levrae's POV As I rushed outside looking for Kieran, I was still in my pajamas. My eyes narrowed around, but I couldn't find him. The breeze blows my hair and covers my face. I flipped them back then ran towards Eleanor’s room, the same place I meant him before, but to my surprise, the door was locked. The hallway was quite like a graveyard. No noise…just the tiptock from the clock hanging on the wards. I stood, looking back and front, wondering where Kieran could be at this time of night. My heart was heavy with guilt. I should've told him that I still care about Jax. I wanted to return inside, but it felt weird, sleeping on an empty bed without him by my side. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took a glance at it, hoping it was Kieran, but my hope was scattered the moment I saw Eleanor on the screen. ‘Why is she calling me?’ I mumble under my breath before taking the call. “Hey…you...how dare you set me up?” She yelled over the phone. Her sharp voice pierced eardrums. “Wha
Kieran POV She said she doesn't care about him; now, all she wants is Jax. That alone hurt me badly, but I can't allow Jax to take her away from me.I have fallen for her, not because of the sex but her smile. Her face reminds me of someone whom I tend not to forget. I stood up from the bed and put on my clothes. Grabbed my phone and dialed Lawerance’s number. It rings twice, but no answer. I became pissed. Levrae left the room because she didn't want to see me. And Lawrence now refuses to pick up my call.I clutch my phone tightly, my heart pounding hard in my chest. I have never been rejected in my life. A lot of women storm into my company just to see me; some even go so far as to pay my secretary. While I watched them from afar, some even argued when I told them that I'm the CEO. No one has ever believed a biker to be a CEO. They saw me as a mechanic and a delivery boy for the company. No one seems beyond that, they believe Lawrence, my assistant, was the CEO.I couldn't imagin
Levrae's POV “What are you doing here?” he asked“Kairan…you…” I stammered and pointed towards the door.“Are you surprised to see me?” He asked, tucking his hand in his pocket.“Surprised!” I swallowed the back word in my mind, “yeah, I’m surprised to see you.” I lied, he did show any sign of shame talking to me. After sleeping with Eleanor.“Oh…I see… " You miss my cock?” he said playfully.“She misses it.., not me,” I snapped.“Why are you so pissed?” he asked as if he didn't know what he did.“Stop pretending,” I yelled without giving him a second to explain. I walked past him, my body hit him, and he moved backward. He didn't stop me because he didn't love me. All he cares about now is Eleanor, and I hate the fact that Eleanor always wants everything that I have. I don't know what was wrong with scumbag.I walked out of the hallway, outside, and a fresh cold breeze hit my skin. My hair danced to its melody. I took a deep breath, shoving out all the negative feelings in my heart.
Levrae’s POV I stormed out of the room, my heart pounding fast in my chest. All I wanted was to make Jax jealous. To make him run back to me. But it seems I have caught myself in another mess.I just signed a contract for a full week with a stranger I barely know. Someone who was meant not to be a mistake. I really don't know who to talk to again; my parents want me to bring a man home. And that should be their supposed son-in-law, whom I have never set my eyes on.They were obsessed with him to the extent they skipped their daily routine to discuss with his parents. Sometimes they ignore my needs because I refuse to marry him. I really don't know who to run to at this point; the only person I speak to when I'm confused was in the arms of another woman.I pull out my phone to call Jax; maybe he will listen to me. Maybe he loves me as he did before.I dial Jax’s number, with a single ring. He picked up, I hesitated before saying a word. “Levera, stop calling my son.” A harsh cold v
Karina’s PovLawrence storms inside the room, “holy shit..” he screams and covers his face. I wanted to scream at him for not waiting for my response, but I couldn't, not in Levrae’s presence, not after I lied to her that Lawrence was my boss.“I'm so…sorry.” Lawrence stammered and hurried out of the room.I gaze at Levrae, who squeezed herself behind the bed wrapped in the blanket. I felt sorry for her, so I moved closer and pulled her up. “I'm truly sorry for what happened,” I said my voice cracked.Levrae remains calm without uttering a word. She moves back to the bed and spreads her legs. “Come, let's finish what we started.” I blink my eyes twice, ‘she really wants me only for sex or what…?’ I mumble under my breath.“Don't keep me waiting.” She whispered her voice, sweet like honey. Before I was ready to get every part of her juicy pussy, but not now. Not after Lawrence interrupted the moment. The feelings were no longer there, but how would I explain to her to understand?I
Levrae pov Back to my room.“Make them pay for humiliating you.” Kieran leaned in closer and placed his hands softly on my shoulder, his brown eyes glinting with something dangerous. “That’s the game, Levrae. You can't give up now.”I clutch my fist, “I’m done playing games,” I said, my voice stea
My father never knew Kieran or Jax, so how then did he know that I am in love?Besides, I am never in love with Kieran; I only want him to get my Jax back from Eleanor.I stood in front of the big mirror, fixing my hair for the second time. My heart skipped a bit; this
“You…!” A knock on the door startled us. We turned towards the door. “Who the hell again?”“It’s me..” “Come back later,” I said, cutting the voice off. The voice went quiet at the knock stop.Kieran smiled and pulled me towards the bed. I lay down before he could make an effort. I want more of him
Kieran turned towards me. “Do you know each other?” he asked, confused.“I…I don't know him,” I stammered.“You don't know me, or you are just pretending.” Jaxe chuckled, “You forget so soon…”Jax's eyes scan around the room. “So you left me for this…?” he pointed at Kieran as if he were some waste
