She moved far from home to start a new life. There, she met Jax. He was kind, funny, and charming. For five long years, Levrae gave him all her heart. But Jax was hiding something big. He never stopped loving his ex-girlfriend, Eleanor. He only dated Levrae because of her father’s money. When Levrae found out the truth on a Christmas cruise, her heart broke into tiny pieces. She ran to the bar, cried, and drank... and that’s when she met Kieran Snow a quiet man who wore a helmet and never showed his face. One wild night brought them together. Levrae asked Kieran to help her get revenge on Jax. The plan? Pretend to be a couple. Hold hands. Take cute pictures. Make Jax jealous. But fake feelings started to feel real. Kieran was gentle, kind, and always there when Levrae cried. She started falling for him without meaning to. He fell for her too but she was scared. Scared to love again. Scared he’d leave too. Then the real storm hit. Jax and Eleanor tried to ruin everything. Jax lied and told the police Kieran stole money. Eleanor tried to hurt Levrae, but Kieran drank the poison instead. Levrae was blamed and thrown in jail, crying and scared. But love never gives up. Kieran lived. The truth came out. Jax and Eleanor were both arrested. And Levrae? She was free and ready to stop running from love. At the end, Kieran didn’t give her a ring. He gave her a helmet with her name on it. And she said yes.

It was the first snow. I gasped in delight as I looked up to the sky and a giggle escaped my lips when a fragment of snow dropped on my nose. It was just the second week of November and it was snowing already.
I heard that experiencing the first snow with the one you loved would make your relationship last longer. I turned around and spotted him getting out of a car as he bowed slightly to someone in the car.
He told me of how generous his boss was to the extent that he always dropped him off because he was his assistant. Bosses like that sure are difficult to find.
The car zoomed past me and for a split second, I caught sight of what looked like a female in the back seat. I thought his boss was a man. Were men supposed to have long red hair?
“Baby.”
His deep voice brought me out of my thoughts and I turned to see him walk up to me with a smile and all my worries vanished in an instant.
“Jaxie, you're home.” I breathed and he nodded as he leaned in and brushed the snow off my hair. I could have sworn that my face looked like a cooked red lobster right now.
That's an effect that he's always had on me.
“How lucky are we that we get to see the first snow together? I think we're more than soulmates.” He muttered as his eyes locked onto mine and my heart pounded wildly in my chest.
Damn it, how lucky am I to have such a man standing by my side?
“Legend says that if two lovers witness the first snow together, they'll last forever. Isn't that cute?” I replied and he chuckled softly as he took my hand in his and we walked inside.
“That's definitely a myth. But I don't mind believing it for you. Anything for my baby.” He squeezed my hand gently as he pushed open the door and we walked inside the apartment that we rented together.
“Let's dance to Snowman together,” I suggested as I took out my phone and played Snowman by Sia with a wide smile on my face.
“Not now baby, I'm a bit too tired. How about we have dinner first? That sounds like a better idea.” He said with a yawn and my shoulders dropped in disappointment but I quickly covered it up with a smile.
“Okay then, I'll warm it up and bring it to the table soon,” I mumbled with a sad tone, hoping that he would notice but he just smiled at me and placed a peck on my head before sauntering to the bedroom.
I let out a sad sigh as I started to set the dining table while humming to the music playing on my phone. I've always wanted to dance to this song with him, especially during this holiday season but he's never been interested.
The song was interrupted by a notification and I wiped my hands on a towel as I picked up the phone. A smile formed on my face and my sour mood was immediately replaced by excitement.
I had successfully booked us a beautiful spot on the largest cruise ship in Toronto for a month! Jax had always wanted to spend his holidays on a cruise ship like this one and I made sure that his wish came to pass this year.
Yes, I'm crazy, I used my whole year's savings just for this. But who cares? Love is crazy, isn't it?
I finished setting the table with a slight bounce on my feet, and I was barely able to contain my excitement. This wasn't the only surprise I had for him, I couldn't wait to share it all with him already!
He finally walked out of the room putting on his loose shirt and boxers and a towel in his hand that he used to dry his beautiful silky hair. I just couldn't get enough of this man.
He did have his flaws, but they were very little. Like how he wouldn't dance to Snowman with me even though we've been dating for five years, or how he would never let me put on his clothes, which of course made me sad.
But he was the sweetest. Call me whatever you want, but he ignored other girls just to be with me, you could call me the luckiest girl alive.
“A penny for your thoughts, baby?” His voice interrupted my thoughts as he sat in front of me and I shook my head immediately as I smiled and picked up my spoon.
“I was just admiring my handsome boyfriend,” I replied and he chuckled as he leaned his chin on his hand and gazed at me for a while.
“What?” I asked, suddenly becoming self-conscious about how he stared at me.
“I was just admiring my beautiful girlfriend.” He answered and I flushed instantly. I quickly gulped down a glass of water as I looked everywhere but his face.
“You're even more beautiful when you blush.” He added and my brain left my body.
Just kill me already, Jax.
“Let's just eat.” I squeaked as I started eating and he let out a low laugh as he dug into his meal. That laughter made something in my belly flip.
“Jaxie, I have a surprise for you. Two, actually.” I started and his smile faltered as he raised his head to look at me.
“Are you pregnant?” He asked in horror and my face fell at how horrified he looked right now. If I was pregnant, wouldn't that be a good thing?
“No- no, I'm not. But why do you make it sound like a bad thing?” I questioned, feeling slightly offended by how he responded.
“No, baby, it's not like that. I just… I still have a long way to go and I'm not ready to be a father yet. Since you're not pregnant, you can go ahead and tell me what it is.”
I guess his words were understandable. I proceeded to tell him about the surprise when his phone rang. His countenance changed as he picked up the call immediately, replied with an “I'll be there”, and then hung up.
“Baby, I got to go.” He rushed out of the chair and grabbed his jacket by the couch, not even bothering to change into something appropriate.
“But-” He didn't give me a chance to speak. He simply pecked me on my forehead and rushed out of the house, leaving me alone with my surprise hanging in the air.
Yeah, another flaw that my boyfriend had. He could leave me alone anytime, anywhere just for his boss. I mean, he was such a hardworking young man, right?
I walked to the window and saw him run down the road, probably heading to the bus stop. I let out a sigh as I sat on the couch and ran my hand through my hair.
“But what about me?”
Kieran~“I took this damn vacation because you forced me to. Do you know how much work would have been done if I was at work right now? When I get back, I'm firing your ass. How could you connive with my father to backstab me?” I complained as I paced around the room of this large ship. “You're making it sound like we took you to hell. It's just for 2 weeks. I wouldn't mind if you stayed longer though. It's Christmas. Lighten up a bit, man.” His annoying voice replied from the other side and I groaned in frustration. “Fuck you, Lawrence.” “I love you too, boss.” He snickered as he said those words and I cringed. He sure loved to get on my nerves whenever he got the chance. “Have fun, make friends, and don't you dare wear any damn mask around. Thank goodness I hid all of them before you left.” He added as he cackled loudly and I clenched my fists in anger. “Lawrence!” I hated going around without wearing my face masks. The plan was to keep my face hidden for as long as I could. I
Levrae~Eleanor. Jax's best friend and ex-girlfriend. The red-haired bimbo. Did he seriously call her here? I turned to look at Jax and it seemed like he was surprised to see her here as well. “Eleanor? What are you doing here?” He asked in surprise but he didn't look angry at all. Rather, I could say he looked relieved. “She was with us when you called and I thought, why can't she come with us? You said it could contain five people. Look, we're complete. Except for some unwanted pest that isn't needed.” His mom replied and I clenched my fists in anger. “Mom, don't talk about her like that. Come on, let's get your things inside.” He said and I had to roll my eyes when Eleanor smiled cutely at him. They started to file inside and before Jax could follow them, I held him back, a worried look on my face. “Jaxie, This was supposed to be for the both of us only. You know I'm never comfortable with Eleanor or your mom. You know your sister hates me too. How am I supposed to survive?”
~Levrae~Weeks had passed since my argument with Emily. I felt extremely guilty for the way I spoke to her but I couldn't bring myself to call her and apologize. It's not like I was wrong anyway. My surprise for Jax was here. I had secretly packed his things and mine while he was packing up at work for the holiday break. It was eight days to Christmas and excitement was coursing through my veins more than ever. The door swung open and Jax walked in, a surprised look on his face as he saw our traveling bags by the door side. He raised a brow in question as he took off his jacket and threw it on the couch. “What's going on, babe?” He asked as he walked up to me and gave me a quick peck. I smiled happily as I reached into my purse and pulled out our tickets to the cruise ship. He took it from me with confusion written all over his face as he went through it and I watched as his expression changed from confusion, to shock, then to excitement.“Babe, what is this? Hold on, don't tell m
Levrae~Jax didn't return home until past three in the morning. I couldn't sleep. I was sitting on the same couch waiting for him to come back. I couldn't help but be worried about him. He stumbled in, a tired and exhausted look on his face as he flung his jacket to the couch- well, my face, earning a slight whimper from me. “Oh my goodness, baby. What are you doing here?” He asked in worry as he took the jacket off and sat beside me. I immediately wrapped my arms around him and he pulled me to straddle him immediately. “Why did you wait for me? You can't be sleep-deprived because of me, okay?” He reprimanded me and I couldn't help but smile with how worried he was for me. My smile faded when I leaned closer and I could smell a different perfume on him. A woman's type if I'm not wrong. I sniffed again and I was right, it was a woman's scent. I trusted Jax but I had to be sure I wasn't jumping to conclusions. “Jaxie? Did you change perfumes recently? I smell a new one on you.” I s
