Evangeline's POV:
Eliot?
Does he miss me?
And Valerie?
Did they notice my disappearance? Did they try to call the cops?
I thought. A shaky breath left my mouth. I felt so weak. Leaning against the wall, I closed my eyes. This torture seemed endless.
The silence was terrifying, this isolation was maddening.
I didnāt even understand why I was going through this type of horror.
Sighing, I opened my eyes. And instantly a scream tore free from my mouth when my gaze fell on the floor.
It was Elliot. He was lying like a corpse. His eyes were closed. His throat was slit and blood was gushing from there.
His entire body was wounded, and he was bleeding from there too. His arms were bruised, bleeding. He looked horrible and dead.
I blinked my eyes a few times to see if it was really or my illusion. Rubbing, I opened my eyes, and it was the same, Elliot's corpse.
