Theodore continued reading the diaries.
Theodore believes and loves his father so much. I was scared if Therox would abuse our kid too. But no, he proved me wrong. He never mistreats our child. It's not like he loves him. A person like Therox can't love anyone other than himself. He is manipulating Theodore by his pretense, so he respects him, obeys him.
