LOGINCAROLYN
We left Luther’s home in Eden’s car but Eden couldn’t join because he brought his bike. It was boring, without the talkative Eden. I rested my head on the windowsill, watching as they drove me past the junction leading to Flynn’s house. So it was really over. Just like that, I wasted four years of my life with a liar and a cheat! “Caro I will stay with you forever” I replayed his wedding vows in my head like a scratched record. “Let’s merge income and be a force no one could reckon with” So it was all a script. Flynn was a damn actor and I was his biggest fan — biggest fan of his lies and treachery. ‘You’re so stupid, Caro’ I hate the part of me that believed in him! “Things don’t always go our way” Meshack said, looking up from his phone, sliding down the headphones. “Sometimes it takes a little revelation to reveal reality” “What makes you think I was thinking about him?” Hosea chuckled behind the wheel. “Control the way your heart beats next time. Perhaps we wouldn’t invade your thoughts” “You...You guys could hear my thoughts?” I sat properly, blinking unbelievably. “Isn’t that... Perverted?” How can they be hearing my thoughts? I just met one day and became mates... “What does that mean? You guys can’t be mates. You must be older or...” “Werewolves never mark others’ mates” Hosea chuckled but didn’t look back. I only saw his predatory eyes. “We don’t mark what we can’t keep. That mark means you can’t escape us even if you wanted to, unless we reject you” “But did you guys really...” I don’t think I can survive living with the fact that they can hear my thoughts. “That’s my fuckin privacy!” “Did you think it’s true?” Meshack teased. “I’m just good at guessing what others think through their expression. We just left your ex-husband. Normally, to think about what went wrong” “Oh...” I smiled feebly. Now he’s not only a gamer, but the most lively one. But an observant! These men are incredible!! “Yes I know I am incredible” Meshack laughed. “Hey! I wasn’t thinking about you” I beat his shoulder lightly in embarrassment. “I was just...” “It’s a guess” He looked up since he’d been relaxed all along. “Hey! I told you I wanted to visit the barber to retouch my dye, right” “Your hair was as pink as stardust, what more dye did you need” I smiled, watching the brothers banter. But it’s all good that I would be leaving with them now. At least I didn’t leave Flynn for something lower. I leaned against Meshack, but he wasn’t cool like normal humans. He was like a furnace, his heartbeat slow, heavy thud that seemed to sync with mine. As my head touched down on this hot surface, something alerted me— I wasn’t leaving with humans but wolves. Basically Animals! “Did you think your world would welcome me? I have no one left in the human world... I’m honestly scared” Hosea’s speed reduced, became more relaxed. “No one would mess with the Alpha king's woman” “But your people hate humans!” “We also do!” Hosea almost yelled. My mind thumped as I gulped. They hate humans. “I’m human” I reminded him, silly hurt. “Does the hatred even have a reason?” “They call us animals” Meshack said, his tone low and different from his usual happy self. “They think they’re the second most important creatures, but this is who we are...” “Animals,” Hosea growled. His tone is no longer human or nice. The sound seemed to come from his chest, low and tectonic in a way that vibrated through the car. “That’s what your kind called us when they aren’t begging for protection” I swallowed hard with guilt. Realizing I’d thought of them as animals just now. “Tell me, Caro” Meshack pulled my jaw. “Did you also think we’re animals?” “I... I mean” I couldn’t form any words. “Not all humans believe so.” “What do we do when sixty percent of them do?” The ride became awfully silent. Humans, werewolves, animals, or whatnot! I’m stuck. “So, what happens to me now?” I asked quietly. I was hoping they’d be my future but now... “Silly girl” Meshack joked pulling my nose with a grin that somehow eased the tension. “Have you forgotten your condition?” “C... Condition?” His hand traced my neckline, then slowly towards the spot that still ached from last night's bite. “No other hoe fucks a cock you’d claimed” My blood went cold. A blush crept to my cheek like a tomato. “Oh... I..” How can they still remember such a stupid rule! “Our bite looks good on you. You’re not just a human to us anymore now” “Perhaps the first human to fuck the Alpha kings?” “No” his face found its way to my neck, filling my body with hot breath and his sandalwood scent. “The first human to steal what we don’t give away easily...” “And what might that be?” The tension between Meshack and me was getting tight. His hand was on my nipples, his breath in my body all made my words come in ragged breath. “Our control” he kissed my cheek. “The first human we wanted to burn the world for “ We’re about getting more attached again, but the screech of the brakes stopped us. “Shoot!” Hosea screeched, stepping on the brake. Meshack stopped immediately. His hand was still on my nipple and my leg was on his lap. “What happened?” “You know who” Hosea’s tone was cold, finality and frustrated. Looking ahead, several bikes were packed on our path. Cars stopped behind them, hooting violently. “These rogues!” Meshack screeched. “Did Eden win against their commander again!?” “Eden’s wild! These guys hate him. I even saw them at the bar last night, fuckin around. I thought they wanted peace” Hosea hissed. “What do we do?” Meshack and Hosea were in this silence for a second straight. I didn’t understand a thing, but the people blocking the way looked ferociously dangerous. They had the most expensive set of bikes that I’d seen used by only top racers. “Hey!” Eden’s playful voice called as he stopped beside us. I looked outside, and he was leaning back on his bike, his dreadlocks messy from the wind, looking like the god of chaos. He wasn’t scared; he looked bored. “Go through the second route” he called, pulling up beside us like he's been tailing us the whole time. “I’ll take care of the morons” Hosea didn’t hesitate. He slammed the car into reverse, the tires screaming against the asphalt. He began to stir the wheel madly, aiming for a gap in the alleyways. Meshack had released my y breast, but his hand didn’t move far. His fingers curled, and I heard the sickening shink of black claws extending, digging into the expensive leather of the seat. The playful gamer was gone now. A beast had taken over. “Damn Eden!” Hosea growled, his voice vibrating with a low guttural frequency that made my teeth ache. “He never knew when to just walk away from scraps” “He loves the taste of blood” Meshack rumbled. “Fighting was his pastime, remember?” I just listened in without saying anything, my heart racing madly. But before Hosea could complete the turn, a second wall of steel and leather blocked the exit. Six or more rogues on bikes with glowing fermented yellow eyes were there. Hosea stopped the engine. The silence that followed was louder than the revving motors. “It seems they want a funeral today” Hosea said, his voice dropping into a registered wolf growl. “Our daring little human” he reached back, his large hands cupping my cheek, burning hot like lava. “Wait for your kings, we shall be back” “Wait!” I grabbed Meshack’s arm as he opened his door. “You’re.. you’re really going out there?” Meshack leaned back in, catching my lips in a hungry and urgent kiss. “The taste of your shall remind me to be nice” “But...” He smiled predatorily. “Get used to it. This is just the tip of the iceberg” They stepped out of the car in perfect synchronization. Eden joined them, and before me, it looked really terrifying. Three kings against an army of ten plus rogues. The lead rogue, a man with a jagged scar across his throat stepped forward and spat in the hood of the car. “Wolf Kings acting like humans in suits?” He mocked. “Using legal penalties like cowards? Why don’t you step aside and let us have a taste of the human snack in your back seat? Maybe she likes the smell of real animals.” I saw Hosea’s shoulders broaden, his suit jacket staining against his muscles that were beginning to shift and grow. “You probably need some lessons, scavengers” Hosea rumbled, his voice echoing. “We weren’t wearing suits to protect ourselves from the world” He took a step forward. I couldn’t see his face but I heard him as he said again... “We wear them to protect the world from us” With a roar that made me panic and frightened, the Alphas lunged. What I heard next was the yells and cries of the fallen rogues.CAROLYN I stood before the window watching the rain as it poured down heavily. Eden hissed for the umpteenth time. "Shouldn't Hosea at least pick up the call and catch the cake with us on a video call?" Meshack chuckled from where he sat. "You know how busy he was with work and you know the time zone is different from each other. Hosea can never ignore our calls not even when you called him with Carolyn's phone" Meshack was making it sound very easy, but the voice in my head that I'd identified as my wolf doubted Hosea. He had been away for five months, and no day passes without him calling us on a video call. However, the time is almost 12:00 a.m., which means their birthday will be over soon, yet he hasn't picked... "Let's make a video and cut the cake which I will send to him later" Eden concluded. I emotionlessly joined them to cut the cake and wished them a happy birthday, but the unsettling feeling didn't stop. *** "Catch her! You must bring the human to my

HOSEA I know I was in trouble I need no one to tell me that. The traffic police came with Sasha and Eden, everyone's eyes on me, like I was a murder suspect. "Mr. Dynera, we came because you and your brothers are dignified individuals, we thought we needed your take on this matter" The traffic police said, he pulled a file. "Miss Sasha claimed she was with you until last night and that you were her boyfriend. Your brother wanted her sued for defamation, can you please clarify yourself?" My palms became wet and I started regretting everything I did last night. It felt like I was having the most dangerous interview in my life ever. How I wished I could turn back the hands of time. "Mr Dynera?" The police called again. "Do you want to press on this charges for wrong accusation?" I became silent and no one talked. Silent was almost killing me as I thought I would talk, Carolyn stepped forward, facing Sasha and Eden. "How do you guys know Hosea was at home?" Eden scoffed, eye
CAROLYN "Huhhh" Meshack grunted happily. "Did you see how I finished those two Chinese lizards?" I was also beaming with smiles, as we both exited the car. "I'm sure they will be scared of you now. I didn't know gaming tournaments would be that fun" Meshack put his arms over my shoulder, both of us walking towards the manor. "You should come with me always. Perhaps I would stop staying at home for the tournaments" "Then you have to prepare me a costume. I feel so out of place today" "You'd fit in anything" I smiled. I'd decided to considered everything that happened before Meshack won as a coincidence. I knew something was wrong, but whatever it was, I know a miracle would happen soon, wasting my time to think of it is the last thing on my bucket list now. "So, were you having nightmares when I came to wake you up in the morning?" Meshack asked out of the blue before we'd step to the entrance. My heart skipped a beat. Is this the right time to tell him? Looking at Meshac
THIRD PERSON POV Before Carolyn could get a hold of whoever the wolf was calling its mate, she saw Sasha come out of the area and enter a sleek, catchy Maybach and leave. Caro blinked quickly for a second, 'Why did she come out alone?' Before she could finalize her thoughts, the man fuckin Sasha earlier came out of the Arena too. But this time, another woman was with him, romancing him. Carolyn became confused, tired, and exhausted about everything. "Where were you I was waiting for you around the corner here" the woman in his arms asked. Carolyn didn't make a noise but watched as the man chuckled darkly. "Sasha came around." Just when the lady was about to say something, Caroline's phone made a sound. The couple stopped talking and entered their car. Caro but her lips. "Where are you?" Meshack's text interrupted her call to Hosea's phone. Grudgingly, Carolyn went back into the arena. Back in the Maybach, Hosea heaved a long sigh. "Why do you take so long? You told
