"It's a lie," Magnus excitedly said to her, flapping his arm close to his face, fanning himself. "He did legit ask you out?" he asked again, causing her to nod. "Oh my gawd! My ship is fucking sailing, Bitches!" 

He was so excited, Starr could feel it. She didn't know why he was so excited, but it kind of brought a smile to her face. She liked how he was so happy about something so not-so-big, that he felt should make her happy too. She couldn't help smiling. 

Magnus soon calmed down, taking his seat on one of her single chairs. "I bet he would have begged his life span short to get you to accept to it."

Starr felt her cheeks grow warm as she frowned, feigning offense. "What do you mean?" she asked. 

Magnus laughed, bending his head back a bit. "Oh, I know you Starr. You are hardheaded," he mocked her, ignoring the little pity he felt for her on remembrance of why she was.
