11 - Nightmares

Fear.

That was exactly how I was feeling as I slipped off the cliff.

I felt myself dropping into the cold sea and I fought to swim to save myself but I couldn't, the water had engulfed me, holding me down with a kind of force I couldn't fight back. I was slowly losing my breath as I fought to swim to the surface. Trying to push my already bloodied arms and legs to no avail.

The thought of me dying continued to ring in my head, making me panic even more.

I splashed and splattered, but I just couldn't. The wound from the gunshot wasn't doing any good eitherways. Slowly, I lost all the air I had been holding, feeling myself being carried away under the water.

I couldn't breathe any longer, I couldn't bring my hands or my legs to push off, my body stopped trying to survive, to break free from the raging waters, as the water filled every part of me, engulfing me, drawing me into the darkness.
