"Please don't leave me." Tears running down my cheeks as I ran after the figure that was quickly out of my sight. My little legs helpless to catch up. The darkness scared me, I hugged my bear bear tightly and squeezed my eyes shut. "Elora. Elora. Are you ok my dear." I woke to someone shaking the shit out of me. Sitting up in the strange bed and taking in my surroundings. I must have had that dream again. They were getting pretty frequent now. They never made any sense. The person leaving me was a blur. I had no idea who or where it was. People told me it was just a dream but it was always the same. Feeling a little embarrassed at the hunk standing over me with such concern, I hid my face childishly under the soft white pillows. Groaning out loud and wishing I was not in this situation. "Shh my sweet baby, you're safe now." He pulled me into his chest and kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes and breathed in his strong aroma. Was I still dreaming. Thoughts of my old pack house popped into my head filling me with guilt. "Please. I need to go." I mumbled trying not to make contact with those eyes of his. God I wish I could lose myself into him and forget everything. "This is your home now." He held my hand in his and gently squeezed it. Sending shivers up and down my spine. This guy literally had me melting inside. "But my pack. They will be worried." I could tell he sensed the sadness in my voice because he suddenly let go of me and sighed heavily. I frowned unsure what to make of this strange situation. "Look please do not worry, they know that you are safe. That's all that matters. This is your home now and I want you to feel happy with me." He said. I listened to his words and felt myself snuggle closer to his chest. Feeling a little happier and knowing my old pack knew that I was safe, meant a lot to me. "I have some important work to attend to. Please don't worry about a thing. Rachel will be here to look after you." He got up from the bed and smiled back at me as a skinny looking girl entered the room. I noticed she had a big smile on her face, she was pretty with blue eyes and long brunette curly hair that hung down loosely. She was wearing a denim dress and sandals. "Good morning Alpha and Luna. So pleased to meet you and welcome to the crazy house." She grinned and I noticed Ben smile back at her in amusement. He gave me a little squeeze before leaving the room. "I'm Rachel, sister of the beta Daniel. If there is anything you need please let me know. I'd be happy to help." She held our her hand to me as she introduced herself. I watched as the alpha left without a word, leaving me and Rachel alone. "You could help me with something." I burst out as an idea crept into my mind. She looked very intrigued but then the smile was quickly replaced with a look of uncertainty. " Have you mind linked with them? That's what I do if I ever need to get a hold of Alpha Ben or Daniel." She said. If only it were that easy. Mindlink was not something I had ever been able to do in my pack. For as long as I can remember, it's just not something I had been gifted with from the moon goddess.. "Mind link isn't something I ever got the hang of." I admitted sheepishly. Alot of the girls in the old pack used to get kicks out of my lack of abilities. But something about Rachel was different. "Come on let's go grab a milkshake. A few of the others are already in the kitchen." She held out her hand and led me to the kitchen. I automatically noticed a girl by the sink glaring at me with her arms crossed over her chest. I assumed her to be another omgea and thought she would look quite pretty if she smiled and did something with her messy hair. She looked about my age, maybe a year or two younger. Rachel excitedly introduced me to the rest of the pack who had been away on a business trip and only just arrived back from what I had gathered. "Hello Luna, my name is Natasha." One of the girls exclaimed. She seemed nice as she went round the room telling me who everyone was. " And you?" I called out to the girl who was throwing daggers my way. She scowled and stared at the floor. I found this very disrespectful behaviour towards someone who was meant to be their future Luna and found myself snapping at the girl. "Is this how you treat your future Luna. Perhaps the alpha will have something to say about this." The room fell silent as the girl glared at me. Rachel interrupted the awkward silence by suggesting a walk outside for some fresh air. I agreed and off we went. The rain has stopped and the sun had finally made an appearance. Birds were singing away in the trees and children were playing happily around us. I listened as Rachel explained the girl who was called Gina, had been an orphan from a pack that had been destroyed in a bad attack years ago. The old Alpha of this pack had allowed her to join this pack. She was only four years old and the only survivor. Although I did not think it excused her behaviour, I was more sympathetic to her situation. She had obviously been through a tough time and something about it seemed familiar. I just had no idea what. We talked some more and found out we had a lot in common. Both had a love for music and dance. I had a good feeling that me and Rachel would be great friends. My happy thoughts were interrupted by a noise behind which made us both jump in fright. A horrible growling sound echoed around the forest. Rogues.
As they stepped into the cool, damp air of the night, the rain had transformed into a light drizzle, misting the surroundings in a haze. The world outside felt lush and alive, yet ominous with an undercurrent of uncertainty. George led the way, Elora and Maya close behind, each step bringing them closer to a sanctuary that felt both like a refuge and a line crossed. "Stay close," George advised, casting a watchful glance over his shoulder. "We don't know who might be watching."Elora nodded, clutching the strap of her backpack tightly. The weight of her belongings felt significant, but it was nothing compared to the emotional burden she carried. With each step, she fought to push back the creeping doubts and fears about what lay ahead.Maya, sensing Elora’s unease, took her hand in a reassuring grip. "You’re going to be okay," she whispered, her voice a soft murmur beneath the steady rhythm of the raindrops. "Remember, you're with us now."Elora squeezed her hand in return, grateful
The air hung thick with unspoken truths and unspoken words. Elora's eyes, still redrimmed, darted between George and Maya, flickering between emotions."What do you mean, what happens now?" she asked, her voice barely audible. Her voice wavered as her question trailed off. She looked at George and Maya, a hint of uncertainty, fear, and hope in her eyes.Maya's response was firm and reassuring. "Now, we secure your safety, Elora. You will be safe here. We'll protect you. We're a pack, and we take care of our own. We’ll take care of you. We stay together, always.""I appreciate it, both of you," Elora said. "It's just a lot to take in," she added quietly. "A lifetime of pretending…knowing you existed and being afraid of the implications. Now, finding out that my father is the cause of this all?" She paused and swallowed hard. "Who I thought was the cause?" she asks."He's the one that caused all this. He's the one who made the choices that brought you here. But it's not your fault," Geo
Elora's eyes widened, flicking from me to Maya, confusion and disbelief etched on her face. "Your...sister?" she echoed faintly, her voice laced with a mixture of emotions that mirrored the turmoil swirling within me.I nodded, taking a deep breath as I steadied myself for the storm of questions and emotions that was bound to follow. "Yes, Elora. My father...our father," I corrected myself, the words tasting bitter on my tongue, "has made choices that hurt many, including you and our mother. But I want you to know, none of that is your fault. You are as much a part of this pack, this family, as I am."Maya gripped my hand tightly, a silent show of support. She had always been my rock, her strength unwavering even in the midst of chaos. "We're going to look after you, Elora," she said, her voice firm despite the tremble that had lingered moments before. "You're safe here, with us."Elora looked between us, her eyes glimmering with unshed tears as the gravity of the revelation began to
As I stormed out of the room, my anger and frustration were boiling over. How could my son, my own flesh and blood, dare to challenge me like that? And Elora, she was a constant reminder of my infidelity, a mistake I couldn't overlook. The thought of her being in my pack, in my territory, made my blood boil.I needed to clear my head, to let go of all the pent-up rage and disappointment. I sprinted through the woods, my paws pounding against the forest floor. The wind rushed through my fur, cooling the fire burning inside me. My wolf howled in exhilaration, relishing the freedom of the run. But, even in the midst of the adrenaline-fueled sprint, I couldn't escape the consequences of my actions. Images of Elora's tear-stained face flashed before my eyes, and guilt started to creep in. How could I be so heartless to her? She was innocent, a victim of my mistakes. The weight of my responsibilities as an alpha felt heavy on my shoulders. As I slowed down, the anger began to dissipate, repl
“Is everything ok, Alpha?” My Beta knocked on my door and poked his head around to check on me. I was sitting up in bed with a splitting headache. I had drunk way to much this time and now my son knew that that stupid slut Elora was his sister. This was a nightmare for me. How could I have opened my mouth in the worst possible way? I was certain that he would not tell his mother of my unfaithfulness to her and the secret daughter that had been hidden away from her all of these years. “I will be, keep an eye on that slutty omega Elora. She is nothing but trouble that one.” I told him to which he looked slightly surprised but did not challenge my request. Being alpha meant what I said went. I was the leader of the pack. He closed the door behind him and my luna came stomping into the room with a look of thunder on her tired face. She still had it, even after these years and has given birth. Her body was to die for. My wolf still went crazy insane when she was near. Even though I
I wanted to kill him. How could she be my sister? How could my father cheat on my beautiful mother like she were a worthless hoare? He was lucky I did not kill him there and then. Elora did not deserve to be treated this way all because my father saw her as his dirty little secret. I could not bare to see him hurt my mother or my sister. It felt strange to think I had a sister. Elora. Maya would be crazy when I told her about this. My father did not seem to care one little bit about Elora. He had tried to end her life to keep her quiet over something that was not her fault. It made me question everything my father had ever told me over the years. He wasn’t the man I had looked up to growing up. I was certain I would never be such a selfish alpha when I finally took over the reins. I was determined that my pack would be treated fairly no matter their rank status. My father was so drunk he could barely get up. I ordered some of the warriors to take him inside and put him to bed wh
