Chapter Twenty-Four

Bernard Shaw paced back and forth in his office. It had been weeks since he and Digger had heard a single word from her. He was beyond angry. His rage was already at its limit with both Fabian and Digger failing to find his little runaway. Now Ginny was missing. It wasn’t like Ginny to disappear without a word. He wondered if something had happened to her or if she had run out of fear of what her failure would cost her. 

Bernard knew that he wasn’t a nice man nor did he have the illusion that he was easy to get along with. No. He knew for a fact that people feared and loathed him. It was something that he relished in. He savored their fear like an aphrodisiac and enjoyed the high he got from grown men cowering in front of him like children who had been scolded unnecessarily by a domineering figurehead. So far based off of the original draft of this book it has been a bit interesting to edit. I am technically now on chapter six but on here it is Chapter Twenty-four. LOL! I have made sure to edit every bit so that way I can preserve original content as well as make it reader friendly. This has been very interesting for me to try. I'm glad that I was able to do this and not pull any punches with my characters. Let me know what you think. I would love to hear from you. :)
