CHAPTER 19

It felt like we had been waiting for hours outside her room before the doctor finally came out.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“I was going to ask you the same thing. We can’t explain why she crashed. What happened before it happened?” The doctor asked.

“Nothing. We were just talking.” Aria said.

“The nurse came in to give her the antibiotics.” I said.

“What? I never ordered any antibiotics. Who was the nurse?” He asked. And I looked around. But she wasn’t here.

“Amelia. Her name tag said Amelia.” I said.

“Nurse, order another blood test. And you, call security and put this place on lock down.” The doctor ordered. So both of the nurses ran to do what they were meant to.

“How’s Meadow?” I asked.

“We managed to stabilize her again. She’s alive. But we don’t know how to treat her without knowing what she was given.” The doctor said.

“When security arrived, they were given a photo of Amelia and told to search the whole hospital. But the picture was also given to the warriors
