When Ariel had rushed over to the nursing home, she found Jayson standing outside, along a corridor, smoking a cigarette. His tall figure seemed to exude a frosty, hostile presence.

Ariel could feel her heart beating erratically in her chest. She had a grim look on her face.

Jayson had always been very smart and meticulous. He often knew the best way to attack one's weak spot. Ariel could tell that he was trying to use Leonard to make her yield.

She went up to him. "Can we talk for a bit?"

Jayson turned around slowly and gazed at her. "Why do you look so tense and anxious?"

Ariel was rendered speechless.

She was fully aware that she did not have the upper hand. Ariel softened her tone. "My mom dedicated her entire life to art. She was in conflict with Sarah back then as well. We can't sell the art gallery no matter what. Can you please not…"
