Chapter 257

When Jennifer finally opened her eyes, she saw a hazy reflection of everything around her in the darkness. She was experiencing an ache in her neck. Her entire body ached, and she felt as if everything had gone numb.

She turned her attention to the clear night sky. She was able to sense that her body was bound around a rigid object. Her eyesight became unclouded after she gave a couple of shakes of her head and blinked many times.

She was in a forest. There was no one around her. Her body was tied up to a tree.

She exerted her efforts to move her body, but then she realized that a rope was knotted around her stomach. So, if she moved with force, it would hurt her stomach.

She recalled everything that happened before Sandra hit her neck. She was pregnant. Her baby was inside her stomach. How could she move and hurt her baby?

"Oh, finally, you are awake?" Jennifer recognized the sound of the voice.

When she turned her head, she looked directly into a set of violet eyes.
