Casper’s POV

“Pick your call!!” Karisa whined from the other side of the bed.

I sat up, turned on the lamp by my bedside, and picked up my phone. I was shocked to see a lot of messages and calls from some of my employees and some minor shareholders.

I hurriedly called my secretary and he picked up at the first ring like he was impatiently waiting for my call, “What’s going on?”

“The shareholders called an emergency board meeting this early morning. You should come quickly. I don’t know what it is about, but Mr Kyrell is in this board meeting,” My secretary said, and I ended the call.

My secretary waking me up concerning an emergency board meeting that I wasn’t aware of just a few days after our launch wasn’t on my card and Mr Kyrell? That’s weird, what would he want at my company?

“What is going on?” Karisa asked as I hurriedly stood up to get ready.

“There is an emergency board meeting at the office, and I’m not aware,” I was confused as heck, “Kyrell Group's CEO is there, what could be the agenda?”

Karisa hurriedly snapped her finger, “I told you that wrench looks like his wife.”

“Please don’t spew nonsense this morning,” I picked up my car key, “I will be right back,” I said then left the room.

What was going on? An emergency board meeting without me being aware. Were they trying to remove me as CEO or take away my rights? But I’m the owner of the company and the highest shareholder.

I parked my car and went straight to the meeting room, but it was empty. “Where is everyone?” I asked my secretary.

“The meeting is already over,” He responded.

“The agenda?” I questioned.

He shook his head, “I have no idea.”

“You should get back to work, I will be at the office,” I tapped his shoulder and walked away.

“Mrs Kyrell looks exactly like the late Mrs Jordan,” I heard one of the employees who was wearing a pink shirt say.

“But she doesn’t sound like her, I mean Mrs Kyrell looks bold and outspoken, while Mrs Jordan was shy and timid,” Another employee wearing a lemon shirt said, “But they do share the same name.”

They are still on about the nonsense Karisa has been spewing for the last few days. I cleared my throat and walked past them. I could hear them apologizing from behind but that wasn’t why I was here.

I opened the door of my office to see that my office was in a mess, a woman was standing, and anger flooded my head when I saw my nameplate broken on the floor.

“Have you gone mad!” I yelled angrily. Who was this mad woman, and what gave her the right to enter and trash my office?

The color drained off my face when I saw the woman who died three years ago standing in front of me. My head had a lot of questions, but I couldn’t ask anything.

Who was this woman who looked exactly like

Elvira, she looked like my late wife yet she didn’t look like her, she didn’t dress like her nor did she sound like her.

The more I had an argument with her, the more I became curious as to who she was. I was filled with anger and curiosity because I didn’t understand what was going on. Even when the security led me out of the office I was confused.

“I’m sorry, sir,” One of the security said, “This is where we eat.” I nodded my head, and with a wave of my hands, I dismissed them.

I went to my former secretary’s office, “Come with me to my car immediately.”

“What?” He looked at me with shock, “Sir…. You know I can’t really do that anymore.”

I scoffed mentally, “You are already going to lose your job, you might as well follow me and brief me on the situation,” I said and walked away without waiting for a response.

I entered the car, the moment I started the car, he jumped into the front seat, “I’m sorry for my behavior sir.”

I turned off the car, “What happened?” I asked because I didn’t know what happened either.

“They somehow managed to acquire fifty-four percent of the company shares, making them the highest shareholder, and they were able to get some shareholders on their side, and that’s how they were able to remove you as the CEO,” My secretary explained.

Even though my secretary explained it still didn’t make any sense. They acquired fifty-four percent shares. I was the highest shareholder before this; someone I trusted must have sold their shares.

“How did they acquire those shares? Was there any manipulation?” I questioned, hoping I could find a loophole somehow.

“They got them legally, they got them from small investors, major shareholders borrowed it to them, and your sister Leah sold her shares,” My secretary said, and my head snapped towards him, “I was going to tell you Leah sold her shares, but I completely forgot.”

“I have been removed from CEO, but do something for me, find out everything about that woman and Kyrell,” I said to my secretary. He nodded his head and came down from my car. “Make sure to clean up the system, and I will see you around.”

That Leah! I knew her foolishness was going to cost me one day. I stepped on the pedal and drove like a madman home beating every traffic light.

I was confused. What happened? How did it happen? Nothing made sense to me.

“Someone from the office told me something weird,” Mother said the moment I entered the house, “What happened? What is going on?”

“Leah!!” I ignored Mother and yelled, “Leah!” I repeated when she didn’t answer. Leah walked majestically down the stairs as she was clipping her nails.

“Why are you screaming my name?” Leah questioned and it only angered me.

“Why did you freaking sell your shares!” I asked furiously.

“You did what?” Mother questioned with surprise.

I fisted my hand into a tight fist, “Why are you surprised? You freaking spoiled her.”

“I wanted to get the latest bag, but your wife refused to give me any money, and I didn’t have any, so I sold the shares and used all of it to get what I wanted to get,” Leah said. I wasn’t even surprised.

“You have freaking lost it!” I yelled at her, “Now you wouldn’t even be able to get any designer material.”

“What does that mean?” Leah asked, and her mother hurriedly turned on the television and put on the new channel.

“Just In, CEO Calix Kyrell has taken over Jordan’s Electronics as the highest shareholder. He has removed the current CEO, Mr Casper Jordan, and has put his own wife, Elvira Kyrell,” The news anchor announced with a display picture of the couple.

“Elvira?” The exact expression I had earlier was plastered on Mother’s face, “Calix,” She muttered.

I raised an eyebrow when Mother called the name with familiarity, “Calix? Do you know him?”

“Is there anyone who doesn’t know the name Kyrell? She must be surprised to hear his real name,” Leah’s voice was still as sharp as it was, no remorse or whatever,

“And that woman looked exactly like my sister-in-law, but she isn’t my sister-in-law, my sister-in-law died in a car accident, and this woman already proved her existence, how can two people look so much alike?”

Leah’s voice irritated me so much at this moment and I wanted to shut her loud mouth.

“Babe,” Karisa called as she walked out from God knows where, “I saw a message on your email, you have been removed from all executive positions at the company.”

“What?” Not only was I removed from the CEO position, but I have also been removed from all executive positions.

I was scared and confused before, but now I felt fear; my body shook inside; I didn’t understand what was going on.

Who was after me and why? Mr Kyrell? He is a big businessman, so why was he doing this to that dead woman’s look-alike or me?

My head snapped towards the TV when I heard, “Breaking news, An investigation of manipulation of stocks, money laundering, bribery, abuse of power and many more has been launched on the former CEO of Jordan’s electronics, Mr Casper Jordan.”

I picked up the flower vase from the side table and angrily threw it at the TV, “What the heck is going on!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
