Elvira’s POV I woke up before Calix, he was still sleeping but he didn’t look peaceful. His forehead was creased like he was having a bad dream. I didn’t want to wake him up. Elvira’s POV I opened my eyes to an empty bed. My eyes searched the room for Calix’s figure but he wasn’t in the room. “Calix!! Calix!!” I called yet there wasn’t any response. I was about to stand up from the bed when I saw a plate on the nightstand. I opened the plate to see breakfast. Oh Calix. My husband. He should have woken me up and I wanted to make him breakfast in bed but he beat me to it. The food smells so good but I needed to check on my daughter first. I covered the plate. I picked up the note, “Elvira, please I really want to talk to you about something and I want you to know I love you more than life itself, if you need anything please let me know.” I dropped the note back on the table. This was so sweet of him and it was also concerning. He looked like he was trying to say something and I was foolish for brushing him off yesterday. I will listen to him today no matter what.
