Raina POV

"Luke, please, it's been weeks." I pleaded with my husband as I moved closer to him and hugged him from behind with a smile, my chest and nose rubbing against his back.

He stiffened and jumped out of my arms like I had burned him, my heart tightened in pain.

'What the hell was that?' I pondered, feeling pissed as I blinked repeatedly at him, who already turned around to furrow his brows at me in confusion.

"What are you trying to do?" He questioned and I just rolled my eyes.

"Isn't it obvious? What couples do. Now come." I told him, trying to move closer again but then he took another step backwards, raising a hand to block my way.

"No way in hell. Have you seen how you look in the mirror?" He pointed out while wrinkling his nose at me in disgust and I gasped, looking down at myself.

I was dressed in a tiny singlet and bum short.

'I was sure I looked sexy enough so why wasn't he interested?' I pondered.

"You have such a terrible figure, your breast is saggy underneath the baggy singlet and the bum short barely contains your fat waist." He insluted and rage ran through my veins.

"Well, forgive me for not being as perfect as Jane." I spat out before I could stop myself and he raised an eyebrow at me before letting out a sigh.

Jane was Luke, my husband's fated mate, an omega who was younger than I was with a few years and had a perfect figure, unlike me who looked like a granny due to stress.

My husband saved her some weeks back and with the way he looked at her, followed by his suspicious behaviors, I had reasons to believe they were doing something behind my back.

"Can't you do without calling her name?" Luke growled at me, as his expression tightening while I just scoffed and folded my hands across my chest as he continued.

"I have cut off all contact with her just like you wanted so what more do you want? Can you please just stop throwing tantrums?" He half-yelled at me as he moved closer, causing me to flinch.

"If it's truly as you say, then why get so heated over me calling her?" I demanded with a scowl and he glared.

"You really want to do this again? Should I remind you of how you embarrassed me that night?" He pointed out, causing me to remember how I found out all about them.

Some nights ago, I was at home all alone trying to get ready for my next day at work without Luke home to assist me, despite my heavy workload.

I understand though, he had some social events to go to. Surprisingly I finished my work kinda early and decided to help arrange his scattered study, only to come across some bunch of letters.

For someone who mostly minded her business, something in me told me to check the letters, seeing it was addressed to a woman with love. I opened it and I remember how it felt like a knife had been pulled through me as I read the contents.

'My husband was seeing someone else?' I pondered in disbelief and decided to satisfy my curiosity and made an appearance at his party without his knowledge.

I always thought Luke knew nothing about romance because he barely showed care towards me, talk more of love and remembering my birthday.

But for this woman, he not only remembered but got her expensive things, and even took her out. Her pictures were even scattered in his drawers while he had none of mine, not even in his phone.

Luke really had some explanation to do. I got to the party and it took awhile before I saw Luke. He was chatting happily with his friends, with no woman in sight.

I breathed a sigh of relief. Perhaps I was mistaken, I was about to leave but decided to check in on him and moved closer but soon froze in my steps.

Luke's hands were wrapped around someone, his head getting buried in her neck as he laughed, a playful warmth I haven't seen in his eyes for the whole 7 years of our marriage glowing in his eyes.

My heart skipped a beat, before stopping as the environment suddenly grew suffocating, me finding it difficult to breathe.

'No, no, no!' I thought, shaking my head sideways. It couldn't be, I was probably hallucinating.

I tried to calm myself, taking a deep breath and blinking to be sure. His head was no longer buried in her neck, rather she was wrapped in his embrace, her head on his chest.

Before I knew what was happening, I lost it, anger boiling in me as my feets moved on their accord towards them. Luke was the first to see me.

I watched as the smile disappeared from his face, his eyes widening in alarm especially when I grabbed the glass of wine from his hand and spilled it all over the girl I recognized from the picture.

His friends around, all let out a gasp, some cursing while I gritted my teeth against one another.

The girl's face went pale and I was about to raise my hand to slap her when someone caught it and turned me around only to hit something against my head.

"Ouch!" I screamed, feeling my head ache as something warm tickled down my forehead.

"You bitch! Who the hell do you think you are to do that to Jane?" Someone cursed while I zoned out for awhile.

I took my hand to my head and dropped it only to see blood. Dizziness hit me immediately, my eyes suddenly feeling heavy and before I knew it, I blacked out.

I woke up to find myself in the hospital with my husband nowhere to be found. Rather, a stranger brought me here and it was later I found out that it was one of my husband's friends who hit me and didn't even know I existed, which was why he did what he did.

When I confronted Luke earlier, he went bonkers at me, saying the woman was just a platonic friend and I calmed a bit only because I knew he didn't sleep with her.

Because if he did, I would have felt it, and be in serious pains but I was not and Luke stayed at home more often, promising to avoid Jane which he did, but why does my heart still ache and feel empty?

Raina's point of viewHow I managed to defeat Gerald, and then take down two other men who rushed at me immediately after, was a surprise even to me.I stood tall, proud of myself and the person I had become, as the combat instructor raised my hand and declared me the winner. The crowd erupted in cheers, shouting my name over and over.I had just defeated the strongest fighter in the camp. Unbelievable, right? At that moment, Mr. Lee jumped into the ring. And for the first time since I’d known him, I gave him a tight hug.I couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude, for all the time he’d taken to train me, to believe in me.If it hadn’t been for him, always encouraging me, always guiding me, I doubt I’d have been able to face Gerald, let alone the others who followed.“Thanks a lot,” I said, smirking as I pulled away from the hug.“You don’t have to say it,” he replied, smiling back."I'm so happy I met you," I said when he asked."How did you manage to beat that guy?"I smiled.

Raina's point of view I moved into the fighting arena with fear written all over me, and Mr. Lee followed closely behind. He had left me with no other choice but to accept the fight.I had refused to go at first, which made him give me two options—either I quit training with him or accept the fight. With no other options left, I gave in.He booked the fight, and I still can't imagine myself going up against Gerald—the same Gerald who often leaves his opponents with injuries they remember for the rest of their lives. As I walked inside, I could hear the crowd roaring, the scary rhythm of drums echoing all around. Finally, I stepped into the ring. The moment I entered, I heard the crowd gasp in shock. I could almost hear their thoughts: What is a woman doing in the ring? But do I have a choice?Mr. Lee wants me to face tough opponents to prove if I’m strong enough to hold my ground when I eventually leave the camp.I couldn't stand the gaze of the people staring at me, but notwithstand

Raina's point of view I know it's about time I learn to stand up for myself.Enough is enough—I'm tired of this asshole thinking he can toy with me.“Look who's trying to command me,” he said mockingly.“Are you seriously just going to stand there and ignore everything I said?” I snapped, anger burning in my chest at his arrogance and lack of manners. He looked me up and down, then folded his arms across his chest with a smug grin.“Like I said before—what are you going to do about it?”Hell no. This isn’t working.I really thought that sounding tough, balling my hands into fists, would make him back off. I thought maybe… just maybe, he’d feel a little fear. But clearly, I was wrong. If I’d known it’d go this way, I wouldn’t have bothered trying to act tough in the first place.Frustrated, I grabbed my mop again, ready to just ignore him and continue cleaning—when suddenly, he picked up the bowl of water beside him and dumped it all over me.Holy shit. This man has officially crossed

Raina's point of view"Hey, hey, hey—don't be afraid. I'm not here to harm you," the man said, holding his hands up in a calming gesture."Who the hell are you?" I asked again, still trembling with fear."Don't you recognize me?" he said.I squinted, taking a closer look at him—and then it hit me. He was the guy who had helped me out with the cleaning yesterday. But how had he gotten in here?"How did you get in here?" I asked, my voice laced with confusion."That's not a problem," he said casually."Of course it is!" I snapped, raising my voice."Hey, calm down. Like I said before, I'm not here to harm you," he repeated."Answer my question," I said firmly, refusing to back down. How could he tell me to calm down when he just invaded my privacy?"I haven’t seen you since yesterday night, and that’s why I decided to come check on you," he explained.“What’s the time?” I asked, my eyes suddenly wide."9 a.m.," he replied."Nine?!" I gasped. "What the bloody hell!" I screamed, jumping o

Raina's point of view Apprehension swelled within me, but I knew I had to gather my courage and face whatever punishment he was planning to impose on me.Still, one thing was now certain: I had stood up for myself, and even if it was just this once, I suppose I could say I was proud of that.Whatever might come next, it didn't really matter to me. The only thing I truly cared about was that he reconsidered the reason behind what he had just said.I couldn’t survive on one meal a day and still train effectively. I never applied for a cleaning position, and it's completely unfair for him to try and force that role onto me.“Did you just challenge me?” he asked, his voice sharp, the veins in his neck darkening with rage.“I didn’t challenge you,” I replied, avoiding his eyes.“But you just did,” he said through gritted teeth, seething with anger.“I’m only trying to say that,” I paused, swallowing the lump in my throat, “I can’t keep eating once a day and also be expected to clean. That

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 40

Raina's point of view I heard the ball rang and immediately, I was informed to come over that the new commander wanted to address all the trainees in the camp. I came outside commander Leonardo's house. I woke up this morning but I couldn't find commander Leonardo and I concluded that he must have left just as he had informed me last night. Just as I took three steps away from the door, I could see about five men running helter-skelter. My heart was racing. What could be happening? I mused. Moving out, I saw a guy who looks more like the guy that had spoken with commander Leonardo at the bar yesterday. "Please excuse me, what's happening?" I inquired from him, I'm still not sure of what's going on. He stopped at his tracks. "Haven't you heard?" he asked. "Hear what?" I asked him. "There was an announcement that the new commander wants all the trainees to gather at the training arena today by 7 am, and it's already 8." He revealed this and without waiting for me to ask any que
