CHAPTER 10–– DRIVING SKILLS

“This is the work area, there is the washroom, that’s as you know the devil’s room and there’s also the game play section in the office. You know when I first came to the office, I noticed how fun the gameplay section was and realized how nice the boss was to provide such an entertainment but now I know why we have that section.” Marco looked severely awkward with his face making several expressions of being burdened with trouble.

“I came at the wrong time, didn’t I?” quite a slow child.

“You still have to ask?” I smiled at him again with my lips stretching and I hope it looks scary because I so want to scare someone.

“Why do you have that section according to you?” him changing the topic does him good.

“Changing the topic, I see. We have that section to keep calm when any kind of killing the boss comes to our mind.” I smiled at him, deeply.

“Let’s get back to the office before your brother blasts both of us off.” I finally showed him the whole office with each and every floor.

“Yep.” Marco said after checking out the last area of the office which was according to him wasn’t any different than the cafeteria as people were seriously holding things to eat while working.

“What do you think bro will do to you?” Marco asked while we waited for the elevator to stop on the top floor.

“I always bring out the new in him. So, let’s see what I brought out this time.” Marco laughed as I said that and finally, we reached the office and as I was going to knock, Marco just pulled me in and ladies and gentlemen, I dropped the imaginary towel because my dear boss was staring red in the eyes of a very beautiful woman and turned to look at me and sighed with something that I would call relief but man, that’s like the best act ever.

He came over to me and hugged me seemingly calm but his hands that were holding me that tight were all the new stories and gossips I was interested in.

Marco looked at the woman and said “What are you doing here, Misses Golddiggers? Isn’t he giving you enough? Oh right, the guys too old to do enough.”

That expression could kill you because he looked just about ready to kill.

“Well, hello, Marco, still incorrigible, I see. And please mind your language. I came here to––” she, misses Golddiggers was just about to say why she was here when my dear boss who was hugging me till now finally moved back a little and said “I want you to meet my fiancée and love of my life, my Amelia. Amelia, this is a not so important person but still, I’ll introduce her, she is my ex.”

I was about to greet the lady, but she very generously glared at me, and I was finally able to see the drama I was waiting for so long as the woman said “Wow, you guys call me Gold-digger and yet marry a poor who is all in you for money? Great, what double standards Alex. I was in love with you and thus I came to meet you, but do you know what, you don’t deserve my sympathy and therefore, I am leaving. Stop me while you can!” did she really think Alexander Alexeev will stop a woman?

How stupid.

“Well, there’s the door, my dear.” Said Marco who feared no one opened the door for the lady to get out.

“Well, leave while I am being nice.” Alexander said and finally, the lady looked at me with hate-filled eyes and left us alone in the office while Alexander held my hand and pulled me to the sofa to sit together.

“Amy, I know you want to know who she was but it’s definitely not what you think.” Nope, I know it’s definitely what I think. You ex who is now married to an old man was here to take a dig at you since she learned of you being in love from the rich circle.

But still being nice, I’ll let you play.

“I’ll believe in what you’ll say.” Speak all that you prepared for your act, go on, I am ready to take it. Throw it good!

“She was someone I was interested in, but she wasn’t able to impress my parents or anyone and even fell for the money and thus, married an old man but we broke up a long time ago and I have absolutely no feelings for her. I swear baby.” This guy, doesn’t forget to take advantage of any moment, does he?

Oh well, “I believe you and I know you will never cheat me.”

“Great. So, let’s get back to how you left your work on me.” Is he for real?

Marco coughed and we looked at him and he said “How about I take Amy for a spin? It was be good for her if you will give her time to adjust first.”

He said and Alexander-the almost in act-Alexeev, nodded and handed my hand to his brother as if handing responsibility and even said “Bring her back soon.” Because there’s lots of work to do.

I was able to fill his half line easily as I know just how much of an evil being he is. This boss of mine is just so…

Well, let’s spin.

Marco showed me to his Mercedes and told me he will be generous enough to allow me to drive it.

And I being incredibly happy and grateful of his generosity held the keys in my hand and sat in the drivers’ seat and looked at Marco who very fast-ly wore the seatbelt and even held the handbrake for emergency. I see the trust he has in me but that’s okay.

It's not like he is any wrong. I put in the keys and finally, we were running for the fastest speed possible while Marco being a boy left the handbrake and was laughing out of his head shouting how fucking cool I am and I agree to it.

We broke rules and the bill will be paid by his brother which he apparently forgot to tell me after the fun he had as his brother called and said something like ‘How about we come back to his office since, we definitely can’t handle being normal for a single day. He even said he left his life with his brother but he as in his brother can’t even handle that much.’

Wow, he was still in the act.
