Chapter 25—A nice morning

In a hazy morning, within layers of blanket, clothed and covered, I slid closer to the only source of heat that felt abnormally good. My sleep deluded mind couldn’t stay awake another second to even feel what was around me.

“Why is it that, you always become clingy in the morning?” the very hoarse from sleep voice sounded over my head and I tried to move a little closer when a hand clamped my shoulder and the heat spread over me and the light haze around me faded.

“Why do have questions even in the morning?” I said and leaned away from the heat source as the light touch on my shoulder prickled a little and my head felt unbelievably heavy. I didn’t even drink that much.

As I again leaned back, my eyes closed again, and I wanted to sleep again. A very throaty chuckled reached my ear but I turned the other side and slept back.

A nice Ariana Grande’s music blasted, and I groggily picked my phone and answered “Hello?”

“Amy, you’re–” Alisha’s voice was cut off because on my side, Alexander suddenly came back to the room and smiled at me.

“Amy, breakfast is ready. I am going to get ready; you get up and eat as well.” He said and left to take a bath.

“oh.” Alisha said. “It’s fine, you have fun with your boyfriend. I’ll manage myself.”

And with a giggle, the caller hung up.

“…”

What in the world is happening with people around me?

Finally, after a nice struggle of not wanting to leave the bed but a hungry stomach growling saying otherwise, I decided to with the later and got up to reach my breakfast.

While finishing my food, I checked the news updates and new stories to read. Phone addiction is bad.

I spooned another bit of food and finally finished it and got up to see Alex all dapper in a suit and suddenly lots of ideas flashed in my brain and I looked down to focus on my task of washing the utensils.

“I thought, this time also, my very dear fiancée will just leave the utensils all on table and I’ll have to clean them. Nice seeing you work too.” Alex said as he leaned on the kitchen counter and smiled at me while my mood took rapid turns.

“I was a guest that day, do guests help in cleaning too?” I cheekily said and he straightened up and came to me to place the cleaned utensils back in the rack in a very OCD manner. All the utensils were placed in a color scheme while the manner was so proper, this was not a home kitchen but a hotel one.

“You were never a guest. Always a friend when you entered here.” I smiled at his line and nodded seriously at him before giving a bright smile when I moved and understandably, there was water under my feet and fell on the counter behind ready to feel the pain.

Alex got ready to save me and did save me but then, who says that every time a boy protects a girl, they get protected? Nope, they don’t.

Alex took me and him down faster than you could say a word.

Finally, in the end, me and my dear fiancé laid on the tiles with me trying extremely hard to not feel the muscles and tight body all draped over me and his head leaning down on me. His eyes, a darker shade of blue kept me down and peered over mine.

He wanted to ask if I was okay but damn, I wasn’t.

His taut muscles and my soft ones touched at every exhale and inhale. He tried to stand and helped me up with himself.

With red ears and cutely awkward hands, he finally helped me to the seats where I sat my butt down and felt a painful contraction on my back.

“Ah!” I exhaled sharply as it felt particularly painful from my mid-riff to my neck.

Alexander looked at me anxiously before hurriedly running to refrigerator and getting a pea bag for me and pressed it to my mid-riff which gave me instant relief with instant pain.

He also called his driver to get the car ready for him and helped me get a little cleaner before picking me up hurriedly to take me to the car.

“Ouch! Stop, stop… wait.” I said as I held his shoulder tightly and corrected my neck in his arms before trying to calm as tears filled my eyes.

“Okay, move but slowly.” Alex nodded and moved to the door but slowly and made sure to not hurt me in any way.

He was almost close to the door when his door opened, and Alexander’s cousins and mother stood holding the door with a few shopping bags in their arms and Alexander’s body stiffened with me in his arms.

“Hello…” Victoria said before her voice drawled as she looked at her son and his girlfriend in his arms with her face scrunched from the pain.

“Amelia, caro, what happened to you? Alex, did you hurt her?” I wanted to really smile at Victoria but with the pain in my back and neck, all I could squeeze was a smile worse than crying and Alexander looked at me and shouted at his cousins and mother to let them leave.

All moved aside and followed behind us as Alexander finally made me sit in his car with him holding me in his arms to lessen up the impact of any movement.

Soon, we reached hospital.

What a nice morning?!

Everything was nice but only when we both were in bed and nothing out of control.

The Doctor told us that I hurt my tailbone and bruised my back and neck in the fall. Everything was fine with what he said but still Victoria couldn't believe we just fell because of water, according to her we were doing something too thrilling and got hurt in the fun.
