CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Diana

THERE WAS SOMETHING about guilt, which made a person feel as if their mind was being eaten alive. It felt like an unbearable weight laid on their chest that was just too hard to lift. 

The disappointment would play tricks on their minds and when it took full control of their subconscious, they'd be dying from the need to confess their wrongs. 

That was exactly what Diana was feeling, as she fell to her knees in the loneliness of the green field, and sobbed as if there was no tomorrow.

She had come to know that there were many different forms of guilt, but only a few of them were endured by her. 

Existential guilt; she had suffered from it when her family and friends were murdered right before her eyes, and she was the only person who made it out of that tragic event alive.
