Chapter Five

The king felt guilty for what happened. He had no idea that Kaleb will react like that knowing about the truth behind Kian's birth and the prophecy. He didn't know that his son had no idea about the process of his mate's birth. "Son" he called.

"It's okay, father. Don't blame yourself. It's my fault. I made him feel like...like.." he wasn't able to finish because he's having a hard time controlling his emotions. Jax, Theo, and Dom finally recovered from the shock.

"I never felt an energy that strong in my entire life," Jax uttered, still can't believe what they saw. "He's like a completely different person." Dom voiced out his opinion. "He is a demigod," Theo concluded and the moment it came out from his mouth, a cloud of black smoke appeared again thinking it's Kian. Kaleb's hope rises seeing it, but it was crushed down when a different person appeared.

"Thorin, I see you're the reason behind my son's distress." the man said. They can feel his strong energy. "Calvin" hearing the name, the three are back into shock mode. "No hello? Good to see you again? And as always, you look like you're going to a fashion show."

Thorin teased as he observes the outfit of the unexpected visitor. The others are nervous as fuck because Calvin is not showing any reaction until he chuckled and lowered his energy. That somehow relieved the anticipators.

"I'm visiting a king so I thought I should dress properly," he replied while giving Thorin a brotherly hug. He also greets the Queen who asked about Alexis. "Oh, my baby is trying to find my other baby, and speaking of that...You!" he suddenly turned to Kaleb who flinched.

"Why do you have to say it like that?" he said squinting his eyes intimidating the young alpha including the other boys. "I..I-" Kaleb can't form a sentence. He felt intimidated.

"You didn't mean it? I know, and I'm sure he knew it too but! His emotions are messy because he felt your struggles that time." He cut the prince. Kaleb lowered his head.

"Calvin, give my son some slack," Aryn said and the mage sighed. "Okay. I'm not mad at you in case you are wondering... he told Kaleb and then turned to the three idiots who are like statues watching a movie with their mouths wide open.

...You three, how many flies does your mouth catches? Close your mouths. You three look like idiots." The three closed their mouths instantly. That made the royals chuckled. Sighing, Calvin sat down. He looks at his son's mate. "You can't reach him?" he asked. Kaleb tries once more but still, nothing.

"Tsk. That brat. Where did he hide this time?" he asked himself but still can be heard by the others.

"He did this before?" Thorin asked his friend who nodded. "He did when he was 10. He ignored even Kaios and threatened him if he dares to trace him. Can you believe that brat? But I know that time Kaios knew where he was. Scaredy cat." Calvin stated.

"Kaios? You mean?" Theo the nerd asked. "Yes vampy, 'that' Kaios". Calvin replied as he knew what the vampire is trying to say. Jax whispered to Theo asking who is that and Theo whispered back and told him.

"Fu** sh**! He fucking threatened a deity?!" All eyes are on him and he muttered sorry. "But head council Calvin, will he be, okay? Will he..."

"Stop. First, don't call me that. It's too formal. Just call me uncle since you're my son's mate. Second, no need to worry because I'm sure he is fine. Just keep on trying to reach him. He's feeling bad for what happened and lastly, don't worry. He will not reject you. You two already marked each other. He accepted you as his mate ten years ago." Calvin said in one go. All of them are confused at the latter part.

"What do you mean by that Hea- I mean uncle?" Kaleb asked. "He knew you were his mate since he was ten," Calvin answered. "How? I thought that information is concealed." Thorin asked this time. "That's what we all thought. But, we're wrong. I also learned this earlier before I came here." said Calvin. "You didn't see through him?" Aryn asked. Calvin scoffed. "Yes. Imagine how shock I was earlier. That proves how powerful he is. He concealed that he knew everything." he answered.

"And the seal?" Thorin asked again. The younger ones are just listening to them. Trying to grasp what they are talking about. "Gone. Long gone." Thorin slumped back to his chair. "He's indeed powerful." the king said rubbing his face.

"And Kaleb, since you are marked, you will become stronger especially when the moment you two completed the bond. You must not only protect your mate but also yourself. Remember, you are his weakness and so are you as his. You are the only one who can control him when things got out of hand. Although I have some questions about the marks, I'll look to it more first." He told his future son-in-law.

"I'll keep that in mind, uncle," Kaleb replied. "Also, don't let others know who he is and you to one another. Just be a simple people who found their mates. This should remain a secret as long as we can. Even to your parents." Calvin sad turning to the other three. "I can feel that this room is sealed by him. So, I only locked the knowledge about him in your brains and also every knowledge that you'll know in the future about this matter," he told them. They could only nod.

"What about the supposed meeting tomorrow, sirs?" Dominic asked the elders.

"The meeting will take place at Ryce's. Your king can give you the address if you don't know. Marius and Tristan know what to do. As of the Shadow Knights, you will meet them there." Calvin answered. "Will he be there?" Kaleb asked with hope.

"To be honest, I don't know. But I'm sure, as a leader, he knows he needs to be there. He'll come around. Okay, so anything else? None? Good. Need to go now. My baby is nagging in my head. I need to find my other baby or else I will be sleeping on the couch. So, bye!" He disappeared without waiting for the others' responses. Thorin and Aryn chuckled. They know how whipped that giant for his husband.

"Is he really the head council? 'The' Calvin Knight?" Jax is still in disbelief. "Yes, you're lucky you met him like this. If it was before, *scoffed* you probably peed in your pants already. But if you want to see him like a badass, try to be near his husband then and there you'll see how hell breaks loose." The Midnight pack shuddered at the thought.

Kian is still feeling bad. He can still hear his loved ones calling out to him. He's in another world. The world where the mythical creatures are. The place where the deities live. He is watching the different mythical animals. He befriended them since he was 10 and this place became his hideout. Some of them can change into human form.

"My lord, you came." one of the creatures said. Kian can talk to them whether in their original state or human state. ..sulking again?"

"Aw, Feu~ I told you not to call me that." Feu is a blue phoenix. He is the alpha of their kind. "But you are one." he insisted. Kian sighed. "Can't you just follow what our Kian wanted?" It was Kōri, the ice dragon. These two are his friends.

"Listen to Kōri. I will stop coming here if you won't stop calling me that." he threatened and Feu pouted. "Fine, but on one condition.." Feu is trying to make a deal. Kian didn't read their minds. He can easily tell if they are lying base on their heartbeat.

"What is it then?" asked Kian. 

"I want you to accept our offer," Feu said hoping. Kian thinks for a while. "Please? Our powers can help. Although, you're strong enough but, still..." Feu added. Kōri nodded agreeing, "You can use our powers to conceal your real powers." Kōri said.

Kian smiled at them, "Fine." The creatures yelled in glee. They place their right palm on Kian's shoulders. Their hands glow and he yelped in pain. But not that long, his both upper arms bear the symbols of the two creatures. Feu's on the right arm and Kōri's on the left. These symbols look like an ordinary tattoos. He can now use their powers and even summon them if he wants to. 

"Thank you!" Kian bowed respectfully. After all, these two are the leaders of their kind.

"I see you finally accepted them." Kian turned to the voice and he bows to show his respect. "It's good to see you again, your Goddess." Kian greeted the goddess.

"I'm glad to see you here too, my child." the goddess answered. Kian giggled. "Yeah. I'm crashing here again' he said. The goddess is fond of him.

"You are always welcome here since this is your second home. They also like you visiting here." Leluna said. Yes, it's the Moon Goddess he is talking to. Kian smiled gratefully.

"But dear, your loved ones are worried about you. Your alpha is blaming himself for what happened." he sighed dejectedly at what the goddess said. "I know, but I almost killed your Alpha King." he sadly said. 

"He knew it was because you're protecting your mate. He understands," she said.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll return and I'll control my powers more. I will seal it again if I must." the goddess shakes her head disagreeing.

"There's no need for that my child. You are strong enough to control it. Just don't let your feelings win over your mind." he nodded at the goddess and thanked her. Not that long, the goddess left, he decided to stay a little more. He sighed and think of his mate. He sends a message to him.

'I'm okay and will come back later. I promise'
