Chapter 8 - Back Home

After Thail has pleasured me more than once, the demon is eating to gather energy while I'm leaning my back against the cave wall.

"So, about that portal?" I ask Thail while he is busy digging his teeth into a raw fish. It's gross, but I understand he isn't human and prefers eating uncooked food.

"What about it?" Thail looks over at me from his place on the floor. He is sitting cross-legged, and a faint smile plays over his lips.

"Well..." I anxiously look him over. He doesn't strike me as a liar. "You didn't lie about being able to help me home, right?"

"What?" Thail looks almost offended and frowns. "Why would I lie to my own mate?"

I shrug. "I don't know."

"I didn't lie. I can help you get back home, but... Sooner or later, you will need to return to this world."

I arch an eyebrow. Is Thail trying to trick me? "Why?"
