Sophia ran up the wood-planked metal stairs and went into the first room she saw. It was a bedroom and she noticed a telephone on the nightstand. She quickly lifted the handset and dialed the number for Otis's office. With her eyes facing the door she mumbled, "answer, please." Anthony felt a tickle on the lower half of his face and peered out of his lowered eyelids. His eyes widened at the human female nestled against him. Her once-damp hair was a dried mess and was pressed against his neck and chest. Using his feet and arms he pushed her away from himself.
