I think you all have heard the truth of the matter. That my baby is innocent and your daughter is the real culprit here. He wouldn't do such a thing to spoil his family's image."
"Lucian, why are you lying?! Why can't you just say the truth?" Roseline yelled at him angrily. She felt her blood boil, and she felt like eating him alive. She wanted to pounce on him and devour him, as he was nothing but a liar. A cheap, deceitful liar.
"So you are saying my son is lying, uh?" Mrs. Desmond asked, widening her eyes at her.
"I am not lying, mother; that's the truth," he said softly, which made Roseline more furious and eager to kill him. She felt she could murder anyone at any time, especially this boy sitting with his head bowed like he never cared. Her blood was boiling with rage as she clenched her fists in anger. Her expression, her face—everything changed drastically as she glared at him like the devil, who would soon destroy everything in no time.
"Roseline!"
Lucian lifts his head to look at Roseline in sadness. The real truth that no one knew was that he was sad. He doesn't want any of this. But he couldn't help but be selfish and think of himself alone. Instead of seeing her cry, he saw another terrifying version of the girl, which made him tremble. He then moved back in fear.
Kara had seen the quick changes in her daughter, and she immediately stood up on her feet in fear.
'No Rose,' the woman thought to herself, as she was about to make a move to stop whatever her daughter had in mind for the little boy.
Roseline didn't have time for anyone, as her mind was just on the boy and how she could possibly murder him. She didn't even know when her mother approached her. She dashed towards Lucian with speed and grabbed his left shoulder, piercing him deeply with her fingers.
"Ahhh!!!" Lucian yelled in pain. He felt a huge, excruciating pain on his left shoulder.
"Lucian!!" Mrs. Desmond screamed in horror.
Kara quickly grabbed her daughter's hand and covered her face, so no one could see this terrifying expression of hers.
Mrs. Desmond quickly grabbed her son and pulled him towards herself, only to see the extreme level of blood on his left shoulder.
"What have you done to my son?" She yelled at Roseline, whose eyes were being covered by her mother.
"That scar would be the pain of your life, Lucian. You will always be in pain unless you apologize to me. That pain will never ease until you say sorry to me." She cursed him, but Kara shook her head in disagreement. She shouldn't be cursing. Whenever her daughter placed a curse on someone, the whole Douglas family knew it would work.
"No, no, love, shhh," she said, shutting Roseline up as she felt tears flowing from her daughter's eyes. She felt sorry for her dear little daughter for going through all this. It was unfair for her. But what could they do? These people were rich, and they could do and undo. She was only given a scholarship here from her other school. She couldn't do anything, and they had no power to fight back; they just had to do what they were asked to and leave.
"Mrs. Douglas, please leave." The principal begged Kara, and both daughter and mother found their way outside the office.
Mrs. Desmond bent down to check on her son. He was in tears and also in pain. The pain felt so excruciating that he was moaning and crying at the same time.
"Oh son!! It's okay. Let's go to the hospital. I will sue both mother and daughter for doing this to the heir of Desmond." She wanted to go outside to get them, but Lucian was quick to grab her mother's hand. He knew she would worsen the situation if she did that. He had already made the girl cry. It was all his fault, and he blamed the poor girl. He shouldn't be selfish enough to watch his mother sue the innocent girl and her family.
He felt the pain on his arm vanish as he forced a smile at his mother. It was a bit surprising, as he wiped off his tears immediately.
"Mom, I am okay now. I am feeling no pain right now. Just let them go, and let it go. And let's go to the hospital to treat this. Please," he begged his mother, and the woman nodded her head in agreement.
"Okay, then, we will leave them for their pathetic lives. Let's go to the hospital, um? the woman asked, and then Lucian nodded his head in agreement. He followed his mother to the hospital for treatment.
Roseline cried her eyes out after reaching home. She had held back her tears for a long time, but she couldn't anymore. She reached for her mother, who pulled out for a tight hug.
"Rose, it's okay. I will get you admitted to another school."
"And how, mom? I know you and my grandfather work so hard every day and night just to cater to my needs and make us satisfied. And which money would you use to admit me to another school?! That boy had ruined my life and I swear, I will ruin his." she said, with tears inlife,r eyes. She had her teeth gritted in anger, and her fists were clenched together.
"Rose, Rose, that's okay, please."
Her mother squatted in front of her, patting her daughter's hair slowly. She doesn't want her daughter to flare up and say what she wasn't supposed to say, or it might become disastrous. A disaster that no one could end. She consoled her as she tried to calm her nerves. "Everything would be alright, okay? calm down."
"It's not. It's not. I don't think I will be able to get another scholarship, and I am not sure I will be going to school again, all because of him. It's not alright," she said, shaking her head, shedding so many tears.
Kara hugged her daughter tightly. She, too, had started crying. She felt the pain that her little beloved felt.
She had done nothing to deserve this. She was just an innocent and intelligent girl. Now that they were struggling and her father definitely wouldn't help her, how would she get to school? Kara closed her eyes as she allowed her tears to flow freely. On the opposite side, the little girl seems to be fuming hard. Her iris had already changed to a terrible color, and she was wishing Lucian bad luck in her heart.
"May he feel pain. It wouldn't ease; it would come back painfully, and everyone would be terrified to see him act like a mad being. Until he apologizes, he won't get freedom on his shoulder,' she cursed inwardly, with her eyes widely opened in remorse.
Lucian was in the hospital with his mother beside him. The woman was worried about her son's arm, that she had to send him to the VIP ward, specially for him. He needed attention. The heir of the Desmond's needed attention and the doctor had to leave whatever he was doing to come to both mother and son. Lucian school shirt was taken off, and the doctor inspected the wound. He was treating it gently, as he was afraid not to provoke the big woman of the Desmond's family. "you were attacked by a cat?" He asked Lucian, and the boy shook his head in disagreement. He wasn't scratched by a cat, but her. He turned sad again, while the doctor still treated his wound. He felt a sting on his arm, and quickly he closed his eyes in pain. And suddenly the sting turned into intense pain, as he moaned out loud. He was feeling it through his bones, it was extremely painful and he wished for it to go away. The pain began to get intense that he felt his heart beating louder than ever. He screamed out
*some days later* It was Sunday, a day family take a day off from their works. They were all united on this day, as they were busy with one house chore or the other. Roseline was in her room painting, when she suddenly felt the ground shaking. She looked around her room in shock, seeing everything was shaking violently. Was it earthquake? She wondered, before standing up in panic. She had heard so many bad things from people about earthquake. Earthquake wasn't something she wished to see, especially today. She saw her room flung open, then her mother ran in, in panic."Rose!" She called worriedly, having a pale face. She was scared, which made Roseline also scared. "Common Rose. Let's leave now. The house is falling." she quickly said, holding her daughter's hand. Luckily, Roseline was able to grab one of her family pictures and a teddy bear as they both fled their home, including Grandpa. Roseline and her mother finally reached outside, seeing a huge bulldozer pulling down their
Kara held on to her daughter tightly as the three walked out of the car. The monster man, Michael, stood in front of them, then widened his arms, trying to look like a king in front of them."Welcome to my home. My paradise is your hell." He grinned at the three of them. He pointed to the villa, then at Roseline."Such a fearful bastard." He spat at her face. "My twin children would be out at any moment, and believe me, they would both be glad to see you."Roseline gave Michael a death glare, wishing hell for him.She regretted asking her mother about this brutal man. If she had known this type of man was her father, she would have wished death for him."Uh? Why are you staring at me like that little one?" Michael bent down to her level. Roseline wanted to scratch his face, but her mother held tight to her arms and then coveted her face. Only Kara could imagine the kind of torture Roseline wished to give this man. And she was the only one who knew what Roseline could do. No, she could
"Asthma." "Asthma?" Jessica gasped. "Yes. (Scoffed) how could I forget about her disease. That woman can't do without having a good air in her; or she is gonna die." Micheal said, smoking from his tobacco. Jessica smirked to herself, rubbing her chin slowly. 'a little smoke won't hurt.' she thought deviously. "What's on your mind Jessica?" Micheal questioned with interest. "Fun stuffs. Just something really fun." She turned around, leaving the room. Micheal smiled devilishly, placing his leg on the other. He believed his wife would do everything without he even lifting a finger. **The next day* "Let go of me kid!" Berry dragged Roseline towards her mother. "Let go of me!" Roseline tried taking her hand off hers, but the girl never left her alone. She continued dragging her towards the other side of the house. "I am not a kid ugly. And you better come with me and stop struggling." She continued dragging her, until she pushed her on the floor. Roseline fell on someone's feet.
Roseline, her mother, and her grandfather had been doing one thing or another for the past few days. Roseline had thought her so-called father would spare his own father, but she was wrong; he never spared the old man for a second. And the strangest thing she had never seen in that house was Tony's reaction towards her. Sometimes she would see the boy ogling her, and sometimes the boy would just stand by smiling dangerously. It was weird and, at the same time, very strange.Roseline walked towards the attic she and her small family were placed in. Walking inside, she saw someone unexpected sitting by her bed. With her mother's drugs? She ran to him, taking the medicines from him."And why are you here? Why are you on my mother's drugs?" She glared at Tony in annoyance.Tony smirked at her before turning away."Your mom is an asthmatic patient. That's interesting."He walked out of the attic, leaving the girl really confused. What does he mean by that? And her mother's medications! She
A week laterRoseline was In front of her father, staying on her knees. She had been there for a while, waiting for her father to just look at her and have pity. After an hour of kneeling, Michael couldn't take it anymore. He turned his head, staring at the girl in question in annoyance."What?! What do you want exactly, rose?" He yelled at her, but the girl didn't move an inch. This is her mother here. She needed the money before it was too late. Her mother cannot see her here, begging her father, or she might get upset with her."My mother has a disease, and she needs...""That's none of my business." He cuts her off, smoking his tobacco."Please sir. She has a heart disease, and she needs immediate attention," she begged again, almost crying. She had promised herself not to shed a tear in front of this man or his family, but it looked like her eyes were doing otherwise. She just couldn't let her mother die, could she?She had watched her grandfather die; her mother would not die to
A few years later....Roseline locked herself in her room, busy with her computer. She took sip from the juice on the desk, before typing really fast on the computer. "Common." That was the word she kept repeating to herself. "Rose!!" She heard her name down her room, but she never gave up on what she was doing. She continued with her work, applying for something very important. "Rose!" This time, this person calling her was getting closer to her. She quickly paused all she was doing, close her laptop, hiding it well from her. "What are you doing?" She quickly stood up on her feet and turned around to meet the unhappy glares on her. "I was...umm.." she pointed to the drink and the food on her table. "Eating." "Eating uh? Were you pretending not to hear us?" Jessica scowled at her but Agnes didn't even batt an eye as she spoke. "I was mouth full, so I couldn't talk." "Where is my purse?" Jessica got to the point. "I don't know." She shook her head. Why would she know where h
The next dayRoseline's eyes were closed in prayer. And after a while, she opened them back, opened her laptop, and then went back to check her application. After a brief moment of silence, she suddenly screamed out.She jumped around her room in excitement, hugging her laptop like it was her loved one. She just got the scholarship she had always wished for. And at what school? The best school in the city. The school she had always wished to go to. She quickly dropped her laptop and accepted the admission with happiness."Only if mom and grandpa were here. We would have celebrated with some good barbecues." She closed her eyes sadly, greatly missing her mother. "Mom, grandpa, this is for you. I am finally going to school to make you both proud." She muttered to herself and ran to look through the small window in her small room."I finally got it!" She yelled to the sky happily. "I finally did." She chuckled. "Rose!!" She heard Jessica's call from the stairs.Oh, now I wish she accept
