Anahita's pov 

Then a friend of Monica's, Lucia, reached there. She also had some bees with her. She also made things very difficult for me. They had surrounded me.

"Look, look, who's here? A freebie. " 

"Who have you come after today?" 

"No, no, she's not after anyone, she's just trying to woo Natalia to ensnare a rich man here, so that she can spend some time with him and pursue her hobbies." 

This was often thought of for me. Maybe she hated my eyes. That's why they used to taunt me many times while focusing on my eyes. Still, I remained silent. Then one of them pushed me. Due to the hills, I was not able to walk like that and also had cramps in my legs. I was about to fall when two strong arms held me. "Alaric!" "You're here,"

Lucia spoke softly.

 Lucia moved on. Alaric, the man who just saved me from falling, looked at me with a gentle smile and then looked at the girls and said

, "Ladies, you guys here? Justin was looking for you over there."

"Us?" 

Alaric said with a smile. 

"Justin didn't name anyone, but he said... he's looking for someone for the night." 

"Really?" Having said all this, all those girls left from there. " 

After those girls left, Alaric helped me to stand up straight. 

"You are OK?" 

"Thanks." 

He asked me in a very polite voice, so I too could not stand without smiling. 

"Sorry, I didn't know your name for me. What's your name?"

"My name is Anna." 

"Well, I saw you eating black currant pastries before the party. Yours is a strange choice. " 

"Thanks." 

"If you don't mind, can we talk for a while?" 

I don't know why his suggestion was not much liked. I didn't know what to tell him and he said so 

"Thank you for saving me from those people. My friend must be looking for me. She said she would come in a while, so I'll leave. " 

"If you feel that I am asking you for some other work, then it is not so. I just want to talk to you for a while. Your smell is different. of sandalwood. " 

He looked at me with very eager eyes. The unique light brown color of his eyes looked like cups of honey. I agreed without even wanting to. 

We sat down at a table nearby. After talking about some here and there and party decorations, Alaric gave his card to me and said

, "If you ever need anything or are in trouble, you can contact me. I won't tell anyone your address and will help you with anything. " 

I asked hesitantly. 

"And you want something in return too?" 

Hearing this, Alaric burst out laughing. I noticed that when he laughs, dimples appear on his cheeks. 

"Oh! Anna, you're so naive. but equally clever. Yes it's true. I want something, but don't worry. I don't want your body. " 

"Then?"

Alaric smiled at me, showing off his dashing dimples. He put out his hands and said,

"I want to be your friend."

I have a feeling that this is not just about friendship. I looked straight in his eyes. When I didn't catch his real intention, I used my confidence facade because I was terrified of facing an alpha.

"You are an alpha."

He looked surprised, then his smile widened.

"You are really something else."

Oh, I accidently used my ability. What if he recognised it? Fortunately, that was not the case. He gestured an omega to serve some appetizers.

I almost choked. But he has something else on his mind. He continued.

"I am the Alpha son. My name is Alaric White. Until a few hours ago, I had zero interest in girls. They are just like this appetizer for me. I never take them seriously, like a main course. The night which looks to be quitting is going to be long and painful.
