Chapter Five

"Alex Gray??" I called out with astonishment. "Alex what are you doing here??" I asked rhetorically but I was ignored and Alex continued driving without glancing at me.

"Alex??" I called out again, and at this point, I already felt my chest beating faster than usual.

Alex was not looking at me and was driving with speed with a serious look on his face.

I placed my hand on the car handle and tried to open it but it was locked and that was when I realized that I was in trouble.

"Alex?" My voice was lower and shaky this time, "Stop this car now."

He continued ignoring me and I tried again, "Stop this car Alex."

"Alex, unlock this car and let me go now." My voice was trembling and I was raising it at the moment. My heart was beating loudly and rapidly against my chest and I was now scared for my life.

"Alex! Alex stop this car! Alex!!" I was now screaming at the top of my voice and struggling with the car handle as if that would miraculously open the door.

It came crashing down on me that I had been abducted by Alex and then the images of what I saw in his house the last time I was there, started flashing through my mind again.

The underground room.

The chained up people.

People who happened to be multiplied numbers of the rogue who attacked me.

What if he abducted me because of that incident?

Will my fate become like that of the rogues?

Was that fate better than getting married to a total stranger for my pack??

Countless questions were going through my head as I sat still in the passenger's seat, now tired and too exhausted to struggle anymore. No matter how much I struggled, I wouldn't win against Alex anyways. Gathering what I heard from Aya, he's a powerful, ruthless Alpha of a notorious pack, a lowly and weak omega like me couldn't possibly win against such a person.

So I gave up and accepted my sad fate, waiting for what it had in store for me.

Minutes later, Alex finally stopped driving and got out of the car, still not throwing a single glance at me.

Suddenly a knock tapped on the car window, startling me and I looked up to see Alex standing there, staring at me blankly.

He opened the car and said, "I think this is the time when you come down from the car and follow me." His tone was sarcastic.

What a horrible jerk. How could he say that after literally kidnapping me?!

But I refrained from saying that loud enough for him to hear because my life was literally on the line at the moment. I decided to take all the blame for throwing caution into the wind and sleeping with a random stranger.

I came down from the car and followed Alex into his house.

He drove me to his house. My heart dropped to my stomach when I realized that I might be right, he brought me here to be chained up and imprisoned like those rogues I saw that day.

When I entered the house, Alex walked around me and locked the door, keeping the keys in his pockets.

Oh god..

This is it...

This is the fucking end...

Who knew my end would be because I allowed myself to be free for once and I slept with a stranger?

I really shouldn't have returned to this town.

Alex sat down on the couch and crossed his legs over each other, "Oh please go ahead and sit." He said and gestured with his hand.

At this point I could feel my fear turning into anger, I scowled at him and said, "You know what you just did is a crime and it is called kidnapping, right??"

Alex gave me a blank look and said, "So what now? You want to call the police? Because I know you love involving the police a lot. But this is a friendly advice, Tiana, just take my offer and sit down, that would be so much better and easier for both of us."

This arrogant bastard.

I tried to act tough for few moments but I also had to be honest with myself, Alex was right, the only thing I could do for myself right now, was to do as he says because whether I like it or not, he was in control.

So I walked over to the couch across the one he sat on and gently took a seat.

"Wise choice. Now let's get to business---"

"Why are you doing this??" I cut in to whatever the hell he was going to say. "Is it because of what I saw the last time I was in your house?? Is that why you have kidnapped me?? You know my father is also an Alpha, right? He would not---"

"Did you tell Caeser?" Alex suddenly asked in a serious tone.

"What?"

I was going to ask who the hell Caeser was until my brain processed that he was referring to my father Caeser Thompson.

"Why would I tell my father that I went home with a random stranger and slept with him, then when I was attacked by a rogue, he saved me and took me home, only for me to discover an underground room filled with imprisoned rogues in his house?"

My tone was dripping with sarcasm and Alex didn't seem amused at all by my sarcasm. Instead his face was still blank and his legs were still crossed over each other. His intimidating aura not reducing one bit.

"Okay then. Thank you for the detailed explanation. Lucky Caeser, his daughter didn't blabber information that would have led to his unfortunate demise, to him. Now start mentioning them. I mean the people you told about what you saw in the underground room."

My brows knit together and I asked him, "What.... do you mean by his unfortunate demise??"

"It's exactly what you think I mean. If your father knew about what you saw, I would definitely kill him. Now start mentioning names, Tiana because I know there are a lot of them." Alex said, with a stoic face.

What the fuck??

I felt a shiver run down my spine.

Did he just threaten to kill my father??

"Why would I tell you anything when I know you would hunt them down??" I retorted.

Alex smirked at me and in a split second, before I could blink, he was standing in front of me, with his face few inches away from mine, "It's either you choose the easier way and tell me while I'm still asking nicely or you choose the hard way and make me force it out of you."

I released a shaky breath and blinked severally out of shock.

He stepped back and put his hands in his pants pockets, "I'm all ears."

I inhaled and exhaled sharply before I said in a low tone, "I never told anybody."

Alex stared at me for a moment before he smirked, "I'm curious. Was it that you had no one to tell or you were crazy enough to keep my secret?"

That was when I realized the truth, I stood up from the couch and faced him, "You knew I didn't tell anyone about what I saw." I stated.

"Of course, I knew. I'm an Alpha, I can smell emotions from even a distance."

"Then why did you kidnap me??"

"I wanted to see if you would lie or not."

"So this was some kind of sick test?"

"Which you passed with flying colors. Now I can boldly say that you're one hundred percent ready for the job."

I blinked twice in confusion, "What job are you talking about?" I asked.

Alex moved closer to me again, staring into my eyes, "I heard you are getting married to Mason Griffin. That fucker and I have a score to settle so I want you to be a spy for me. You will report everything that happens under the Griffin's roof to me. Not leaving even the tiniest detail out."

He's fucking crazy.

He has lost it.

"What makes you think I would agree to your ridiculous request?"

Alex placed his hand on my cheek and caressed it, his gentle touch giving me goosebumps. "You wouldn't want your father to know that you slept with a total stranger despite being engaged to your fiance. And Tiana, this is definitely not a request."

He was damn serious. He wasn't joking about his threat and that was when I knew I was fucked.
