Chapter 59: A plot

Sonia POV

Just as I moved forward to attack them, someone moved to stop me.

"Hello, ladies, what's happening here?" His thick baritone voice filled the air around us.

I looked up at his features even though I was unable to see his face. He looked handsome from the side view. He was tall and fit like Eric.

The maids' eyes went wide with shock as they regarded the man for a moment.

"Sir_" they stressed and I felt the quiver in their voice. There was no doubt that they were scared and I wondered why that is. Who is this man anyways and how was he able to cause so much fear in these maids?

"Don't you guys have work to do than gossip about people?" His voice was soft as if he wasn't annoyed even though it felt like it was something he should be annoyed about.

I don't really know but he could be an acquaintance of Eric or Hardin. I mean that could be the only reason he would be here.

And another thing is that these maids seem to recognize him.
