Blair's POV
"I need to tell you something." I said, looking into his deep blue gorgeous eyes. "Alright then. I'm all eyes. What is it?" I took a deep breath and braced myself. He phone buzzed suddenly. His eyes followed it down to it's flickering screen, then looked up to me. "So sorry my dear. I need to take take this call. It looks important." He said, looking at me apologetically. I nodded slowly, releasing his hand. "Yes, Damon." He spoke into the phone. "Uh huh, go on." His brows suddenly furrowed. He massaged his forehead as if dissipating the tension. Apprehend their entire family, and send out the spies." He ordered. I had no idea what was going on, but I could tell that he was not pleased. He cut the call and looked at me. "So sorry about that, but we'll have to head back home. Something important just came up back at home." He said flatly. "Is everything alright?" I asked, even after I knew everything was not okay. He looked down at his intertwined fingers for a few minutes and then looked up to me. "Could you by chance, recognize your captors, Blair? I mean those rogues?' I was shocked to the bone for a few seconds. Had he caught them yet? "Yes I think so. I remember their scent, and can easily recognize them." I replied with a shudder. It was one of the few incidents I didn't want to recall. "That's very good. I might need your help when I finally catch them. Can you believe those good for nothings were from my pack? My mouth fell open in surprise. "But that doesn't mean I was the one that kidnapped you. I had no hand in it." He added quickly. "Are you sure they were from your pack?" "Yes they are, and they'll be dealt with severely once I am done interviewing all of their direct family members." His countenance spelt anger. " I don't like being lied to. I hate lies and betrayal." He added. I could feel my stomach tie into a knot. What would he do when he finally finds out that I am engaged and that I have a fiancee? I was not sure if I was ready to confess now. I wondered what he would do with the family of the rogues. Would he cast them out or punish them? What if he decides to kill them. Aiden took my hand as he talked further. "Do not worry, they'll be caught and apprehended. They won't go unpunished. The rogues were the least of my worries right now, but I just nodded to show that I was on his side. "Today was extremely magical. We should do this more often. You know, the date thingy." Aiden grinned. I frowned. I didn't plan on staying here for long, so what ever date ideas could be for himself. "By the way, you were trying to tell me something." He asked, suddenly recalling our previous conversation. "Uhhh. it wasn't really important. I've forgotten, but when I remember, we'll talk about it later." I lied again. I could smell his anger and resentment. I didn't want to add to it by talking about my supposed fiancee who was a human, and how I do not wish to be his mate. Wolves have hot temper, and I wanted to stay alive. We left the club as quickly as we could, as we got back to his home quickly. I stifled a yawn as we walked in. It didn't escape his ever demanding, hawk eyes. You should go to bed Blair. I need to have an important meeting with my betas." He said regretfully. He was feeling guilty about leaving me for a split second. I nodded. I was very tired and eager to sleep, preferably alone in the bed. But I knew before hand that it was not possible. This was the first time since I got here that I'd ever get to sleep without the sexual tension of him lying so close, next to me. I nodded before leaving for his room. Aiden's POV The black SUV had pulled up outside the mansion, and I asked Damon to let me handle the wheel. "Tell me everything that happened. Like every thing that happened in the compound." I asked Damon. "It's just like everything I told you on the phone, boss. The team on patrol sensed the wolves. Peter is currently taking the trackers into the forest, and should be able to come back with a report. I nodded. My head was already filled with thoughts, ranging from the threat in my pack, and my wolf who is alone in her room. I had never in my entire life felt so powerless like this before. Driving through the chilly air of the forest calmed me and my wolf. My wolf needed to be composed and alert when dealing with potential threat and danger. Nearing the forest, I got a paralyzing pain in my head. Someone was crying for help. I suddenly knew that one of my pack members was injured. Slamming on the brakes, I jumped out of the car. Damon hurriedly took to his heels, following me. I stripped off my clothes, and shifted into my wolf. My wolf was finally out, and raced through the trees happily. I snarled as I caught the whiff of an intruder in the territory and the blood of Peter, one of my trackers. Following the scent, I reached the site of the assault. One brown and one black wolf were fighting furiously. Peter was a lithe wolf with healthy, glossy fur. But a large gash across his shoulder was bleeding profusely . The other wolf looked slightly rabid, his grey fur looked dirty and unkempt. They rolled through the mud, and fallen leaves. Both wolves teeth snapped dangerously we hen they separated . Sensing my presence, peter took his eyes off the rabid wolf for just a second. Seeing his God given opportunity, the rabid wolf pounced upon peter, his claws and teeth dug into Peter's ribs. Peter howled in agony. That was it. I had had enough. I lunged at the unfamiliar rabid wolf, sinking my teeth into his neck and shaking his head viciously. The other wolf whimpered in pain then fell still on the floor out of pain, dead. Turning to Damon, I ordered him telepathically. "Take peter to the medical building, and get some guards to check the forest!" We shifted back into our human form. Placing our hand under his arm, we hobbled as quickly as possible back to the compound to warn everyone. I connected to my other trackers, to find out if they had tracked any other unknown wolves. "Alpha Aiden, we've scented at least three unknown male wolves near the compound, but we haven't caught any yet. Is Peter okay?" Matt the head and leader of the trackers asked me. "He will be fine. Damon is staying with him. I want you all to stay in pairs. I don't want anyone else moving on their own." I broadcasted to my betas and trackers. "Search the territory in a tight grid. I do not want any of them to slip by. If there are any more rogues, make sure you restrain them and bring them back to the compound immediately." The wolves searched the forest and the clearing of the compound. The sun had barely begun to rise when every inch of the territory was finally covered. We finally made our way back to the main house, shifting back to our human form as we arrived in to the clearing. "Damon I want you to meet me with the trackers in the kitchen in five minutes. Not more than five minutes!" I called out. I pulled on a pair of sweats from the clothes supply at the entrance. My black suit was still in the car. I had not slept for the past twenty four hours, and exhaustion was taking its toll on me, but I had to check on Peter once more. His wounds had been cleaned and patched by the pack doctor, who assured me that Peter just needed enough rest, and that he would heal perfectly. Peter was sitting on the hospital bed, grinning broadly while his mate stroke his chest lovingly. I smiled and felt a bit of jealousy when the couple reminded me of my stubbornly mate back in my room. "Peter, I can see you are feeling a lot more better now." I beamed at him. "Alpha Aiden." Peter looked up to me dazed. "Yes, my mate made me to feel much better." He smiled, and looked at her in adoration. "You also saved my life Alpha. Thank you so much." "I am just glad you are feeling better now." I said, resting my hand on Peter's shoulder, comforting him. I nodded to the two wolves that bowed their heads in reverence, and I made my way to the main house . I was missing Blair so much now. Usually, after such waste of physical energy, we wolves needed comfort especially if they had their mates with them. However, I was not sure if I was expecting anything in that manner. My wolf groaned sorrowfully.Ava and Alexa watched in horror as I prepared to fight Camille."What the hell are you doing this for, Camille?" Ava yelled."You don't know yet? I am the strongest omega in the pack. Even the Alpha has awarded me severally. There's absolutely no harm in challenging the Luna when it's quite evident that she'll win." Camille scoffed."Are you out of your fucking mind? You're challenging the Alpha's mate bond? You cannot replace the Luna through some hideous challenge, you better stop this now. Lucian will be pissed." Ava warned.Ava was right, but Camille was proud and strong headed. I could easily smell jealousy eating deep into her. This was finally the perfect opportunity to step away from the mate bond. It was obvious Camille was into Aiden.I couldn't just walk away and lose the challenge, but I wasn't going to do that. I was not in control anymore, my wolf was.I posed , ready to attack. Without further ado, I burst out of my clothes, shifting into my white wolf.I could hear scr
I awoke to the chirping of the birds outside my window. It was very early in the morning, and it not surprising that the birds are up too.I turned my head towards their lovely chirping sounds. The windows were never opened, due to reasons I may never understand. I wondered why it stayed open today. "Good morning pumpkin." Aiden's voice called out from across the room.I was startled a bit. I turned towards the source of his voice, cautiously pulling the duvet over my body as I caught sight of him. He disengaged himself from the chair near the fire, looking extremely stiff and haggard. He sat at the edge of the bed, smoothening the bed covers before him. He looked extremely tired, with dark circles under his eyes.."Uhh.. are you alright?" I asked, a bit concerned. He reached out to rub my foot through the sheets. I could see he wanted comfortable. My wolf could sense that. Wolves liked to touch each other when they needed comfort."You don't look like yourself. What's going on?" He

Aiden walked into the study/library, whatever it was while I clutched the edge table behind me with both hands.I was scared as fuck.He was talking to someone on the phone, and ignored me. I waited quietly leaning on the table, afraid to move.He slipped the phone into an inner pocket of his jacket. He then put two fingers under my chin, and tilted my face up to face him. He leaned forward and kissed my lips. I was not too surprised. We had already done more than kissing. However, there was something demanding in the way he kissed. I tried to avoid suspicion by kissing him back, though I was trembling."You're shaking. Are you scared?" I was not sure if I was to answer that question or ignore it. I simply licked my lips.I am not scared, but I'm startled." He arched a brow."Startled? Were you expecting someone else apart from me?" He gave me a sly smile.I was very sure he'd be very angry and would probably strangle me to death if he ever found out the reason."Can't I get frighte
Aiden did as he said, and didn't touch me. Rather I soon dozed off after my head touched the pillow. My tiredness finally caught up with me.I woke up quite early. Aiden's side of the bed was empty. The disheveled state of the bed showed that he had left the bed recently. I kinda felt extremely lonely and disappointed as If waking up before m e was illegal .The bathroom door suddenly opened, and Aiden stepped out of the shower, shaved and the towel struggling to cover his body . I had once seen him almost naked, but now it teased me to see his perfect biceps. He smirked, knowing I liked what I saw. It was then I realized I must have been gawking like a beggar. I turned away, averting my gaze. He was busy talking while getting ready."I'll be very busy today, pumpkin." Aiden said, throwing the towel off his body, and exposing his perfectly taut bum. I blushed, even though I was a wolf, and nudity meant nothing to me.He got dressed up in a blue shirt, and black trousers. "You'll stay
Blair's POVI felt Aiden's presence behind me as soon as Alexa spoke up. I admit that I was glad that he was there. My wolf was suddenly on the edge, and Alexa's questions were not making things easier too. Some how, I was not comfortable talking about my parents death. The people in my pack knew it, but here I had to start explaining all over again. People would always be people."Sorry to interrupt, but your Luna is very very tried. So it's time to break the party." Aiden announced, as he placed his hand on my shoulder gesturing me to leave. Though I enjoyed the dinner, I was glad to leave. My eyes were drooling, and I didn't realize how tired I was. I was led back into the Alpha's quarters shortly after."You did wonderfully well! I'm so proud of you!" Aiden said , smiling at me."I enjoyed it too." I beamed, I enjoyed every bit of it."Did you really meet vampires in England?" He asked , slumping onto the couch next to him.I laughed."Aunt Millicent has many friends, including f
