I looked at her back through the mirror. I hate that my mate has gone through so much already. No wonder she’s already so strong, looking at her back all I wanted to do was heal her myself and take away every inch of hurt and betrayal. 

But it was being with me that she was scared of most. Walking over to the closet, I grab one of my shirts and slip it over Alice. Not just so she’s comfortable but having my smell on her in every way made me feel smug.
