THALIA’S POV

I was fully dressed in a loose, soft linen tunic, sitting quietly on the plush cushioned chair inside the academy's private parlor.

The room was bathed in the dim golden light of evening candles, casting long shadows against the stone walls. My parents sat directly opposite me on the grand velvet sofa, their figures stiff and motionless.

Neither of them said a single word for what felt like an eternity. They just sat there in absolute silence, thick and suffocating nervous energy

THALIA’S POVTwo months had passed since the high council declared us the balance of the realm, and the quiet whir of a horn comb through my hair was the only sound echoing in my bedchamber.I sat at my vanity, staring silently at my reflection in the polished glass, letting my mind drift backward over everything that had transpired in those short, life-changing two months. The world had reshaped itself completely. Eileen had officially earned her place as Jamie’s recognized mate, standing proudly by his side without fear or doubt. Jamie had been fully exonerated of his family's past house conflicts, honored by the board with the right to carry his bloodline forward into a peaceful future. Ragnar had officially ascended as the Alpha of the Norales pack, while Caleb had stepped up to claim his rightfully inherited title as Alpha of House Vane.As for me, I had been appointed the Alpha head of the Ashen lineage, except right now, my parents were downstairs in the main hall, officiall

CALEB’S POVThe grand celebration finally wound down in the late hours of the night, leaving the academy grounds blanketed in a quiet, peaceful calm. But by the following morning, the tranquility shattered. I stood by the window of our quarters, staring down at my right palm. The ancient sigil etched into my skin was pulsing with a soft, persistent golden light. It wasn't just mine. Looking across the room, I could see the exact same mark glowing faintly on Ragnar’s forearm and on Thalia’s delicate shoulder.A heavy, measured knock echoed through the room. Since we were sharing the grand dorm suite together again, Ragnar reached the door first, swinging it open to reveal Miss Lyra standing in the stone doorway, her expression unusually solemn."Gather your things," Miss Lyra instructed, her voice crisp and unyielding. "You three have been formally summoned by the highest authority in the academy."Without wasting a single second, the three of us followed her down the winding spiral s

THALIA’S POVMy parents turned to look at me first, waiting silently for my reaction before they both gave a gentle, reassuring nod of approval. The moment they gave their consent, Eileen rushed across the parlor without holding back for another second. She threw her arms around me in a tight, breathless hug, nearly knocking the wind right out of my chest."I missed you so much, Thalia!" Eileen cried out, her voice muffled against my shoulder as the words came tumbling over one another in a chaotic rush. "You have no absolute idea how worried I was about you every single second you were locked away in that dark place! At one point I was so angry and terrified that I was honestly ready to fuse with the moon goddess myself just for not stepping in to help us sooner! I kept pacing around my room thinking the absolute worst had happened to you!"I stood there listening in complete, paralyzed silence, utterly unable to get a single word in edgewise. Eileen was speaking far too fast, boun

My parents sat directly opposite me on the grand velvet sofa, their figures stiff and motionless. Neither of them said a single word for what felt like an eternity. They just sat there in absolute silence, thick and suffocating nervous energy rolling off them in heavy, unbearable waves. My mother kept wringing her hands repeatedly in her lap, her knuckles turning pale, while my father shifted his weight back and forth on the cushion. They exchanged quick, desperate glances with each other every few seconds, as if silently begging the other to take the plunge and break the silence first.I took a slow, grounding breath to settle the faint rhythm of my racing heart, deciding to take control of the moment and start the conversation m

EILEEN’S POVThe news had reached me through Jamie the moment he stepped back into the quiet hallway. He told me that Thalia was alive, that the ritual had worked and the dark shift had broken, but she was completely exhausted and needed space to rest. The second the words left his mouth, a sudden surge of relief washed over me, instantly followed by an overwhelming urge to see her with my own eyes. I needed to stand beside her, to touch her hand and make sure she was truly breathing."I am going down to the private wing right now," I said, taking a fast step toward the corridor.Jamie immediately stepped into my path, his tall frame blocking the narrow doorway. "Eileen, stop. She asked to be left alone. She has been through so much today, and the Alphas are with her.""Move aside, Jamie," I demanded, glaring up at him as my frustration boiled over. "I don't care who is with her. I need to see my friend.""Why are you being so difficult?" Jamie asked, his brow furrowing as he held his

THALIA’S POVI sat between them on the cold dungeon floor, listening in complete silence as they filled in every missing piece of the story."You aren't seen as a failure anymore, Thalia," Caleb said softly, his thumbs stroking the back of my hand. "The entire academy knows what you did down here. They aren't calling you a weak pup or an outcast. You were officially announced as a true warrior of the realm."Ragnar nodded in agreement, his deep voice heavy with emotion. "The students have been praying for you every single night in the courtyard. Eileen has been sick with worry, pacing the hallways and waiting for any news about your condition. When you defeated Ryker, the violent chaos in both my territory and Caleb's pack stopped completely."I let out a shaky breath, feeling a small weight lift off my chest, but then Ragnar’s expression turned dark. "Except something worse started right after," Ragnar added quietly.I looked up at him, my brow furrowing. "What do you mean? What happ
