(Killian)

The past weeks blurred away and I found myself home, more often than I usually do.

I go to work and head right back home but over the past year, hotels, suite, Damon and Sebastian’s house became my second home.

I didn't dare go home. I didn't dare look at Tamara, not after she kept lying about what she's done day after day.

And now I still don't understand why I stay home. Perhaps, Tamara starting work was a hard pill to swallow.

I barely even see her, she goes off by 7am and comes in

~~Melanie~~I scan the room for any trace of Jade.I could swear she was right there just a while ago.My head feels so heavy. It's like I've had a lot and it's only just a few glass.God.I hate alcohol.I can't hold my liquor and to top it all Sebastian of all people decided to show up tonight.Great.Just great.I've been trying so hard to avoid him. I didn't want any drama and definitely not in a job I just started.I put my glass down and push to my feet.A hand grabs mine.“You leaving already?” I might as well do. “The best of the party is yet to come.” Caleb says.I force a faint smile. “Oh, no. I just need to go to the restroom,” The lady beside him glares at me.At his hand on mine.I honestly can't blame her. I'd be just as mad if a guy I'm with is paying more attention to someone else.Caleb nods, and finally let go of my hand.I walk away but not before subtly glancing toward the bar where Sebastian is.His profile tonight is…aggravatingly attractive. The lighting soften

~~Sebastian~~I stare at my mother's grave, unable to say a word. It's been like this for the past months. But I never fail to show up, never fail to just stand, stare and eventually leave.Cancer took her years back, a memory I wish I could erase. The pain I wish I could've taken away from her.She didn't deserve any of that. Not the kind of marriage she had. Not the life she lived. My phone dings in my pocket, cutting through my pocket.I put down the flower. Stare briefly at a fresh one lying there and whirl around. It's Riley.“Hey, you're still coming, no?”I take a sharp exhale and thumb out a response.“Be there, soon.”I pocket my phone and head straight to my Maserati.I reach for my lighter on the console and flick it, open, close…it's a habit I've mastered over the years, a coping mechanism whenever I'm worked up.If it wasn't mom's memorial, I'd rather not be there.By the time I get to the Villa, a few cars are packed in the driveway. An intimate memorial as he's called it

~~Meghan~~I type in the digits again.Grandma Ju.My hands hover on the call dial. And then I click dial.My pacing the floor now, listening to the waiting tone. There's so much I want to say, so much to apologize for.“Hello,”I hear her voice and I stilled, unable to say a word.“Hello,” her voice come again.I don't wait. I don't even think twice. I end the call, willing my mind to stay calm.God.I don't know what to do, what to say.I'm just….scared.The beeping of my phone pulls me out of my misery. I stare at the screen, vibrating in my hand.Jade.I run a hand through my hair, tucking a stray strand behind my ear. I inhale, exhale and then I answer the call.“Hey,”There's a pause.“Don't tell me you're not ready,” she shrilled.I blink.Ready?“Lanie, it's my cousin's party,”Shoot.Right. It totally skipped my mind.“I'll be ready,” I say, shuffling to the stairs, and taking it two at a time. “Give me a few minutes.”I end the call.I quickly take a bath, style my hair hasti

~~Hazel~~I can't tell the route to Mr. X’s house but I can feel it, we ain't heading there. It's taking more time than the last. The driver hasn't said anything, he barely ever talks to me.I'm guessing he's only paid to drive and not talk, fair point.I lean back into the backseat, reaching for my phone. There's a text from Jordan.I hadn't seen it before.‘Do you want to go see a movie together?’I inhale a ragged breath. And quickly thumb out a response.‘Tomorrow? I'm kinda busy tonight’His response comes almost immediately.‘Sure’I stared at it, not sure why.Or maybe I'm lying to myself. If I wasn't stuck trying to birth a baby, maybe Jordan and I might've kicked off.But right now it's just…so complicated. He likes me…yeah, I see the way he looks at me.And…maybe I like him too.The car slows, cutting through my thoughts.I lift my head up only to see a penthouse. The gate opens and the driver pulls into the driveway.Another house.It's…beautiful.My phone dings with a text

~~Hazel~~Keon is sleeping on his bed but not Kyle. Not yet.I hold him over my chest, patting his back gently while trying to avoid Tamara's gaze.Melanie tilts her head, shrugging with a look that says ‘I didn't say a word to her’Finally Kyle falls asleep.I lay him down gently and turn to my girls.Tamara points to the door and marches toward it.As soon as we're out, I all but let out.“I swear I was going to tell you.” I blurt out. “I only just found out,”That stops her.She turns to me and crosses her arms.“I'm not mad, I'm just…slightly hurt, can't I be?”My lips twitch. She lifts a finger. “Don't,”I throw a hand up. “I'm sorry, you were busy with the boys. I just didn't want to bring this to you yet,”“You're pregnant Hazel, of course I want to hear every part of it, the first feeling, the morning sicknesses, all of it.”I pause.“I'm not supposed to feel anything, Tammy. This baby isn't even mine theoretically.”Everyone goes silent.“It's just…I'm starting to have this s

~~Melanie~~I stand and wait as Mr. Daniel flips through the pages of the report. His gaze lingers on the document.“You did this yourself?” he all but asked.I straighten. “Yes sir.”He furrows his gaze.“Something wrong, sir?” I ask when his eyes doesn't leave the document.Another seconds pass before he laces his fingers together in front of him on the desk.“Not at all. Just thought it's…” he trails off. “That'd be all. Move my next meeting to later today and inform the attendees.”“Alright, I'll do just that sir.” I head for the door but it opens up before I can get to it.Lucy has a tight look when she spots me.She brushes past me with a glare. But I don't react. I head out. She's always in and out of this office and I don't remember her working closely with Mr. Daniel. That's not my problem. There's work to be done.I tap at Jade's desk at noon. “Here, I got you lunch,”Her brows lifts.“You stepped out for lunch?”“What?” I quip back. “I can't buy you lunch?”She chuckles. “I
