Killian stops me before I can completely walk out of his sight. “I never said I didn't want it!” He spit out, causing me to stop dead in my tracks, slowly turning to face him.

I give him a sharp glare, my brows scrunched all the way up. “Oh yeah? You didn't need to voice it out, your face says it all,” I quip back with a straight face.

He looks thrown off for a moment but then his jaw clenches and his eyes narrow slightly as he scoffs at my comment. “Well, I didn't ask for anything, and I figured you should understand why I'm being cautious,”

I roll my eyes, my hand balling against my bag. I can feel my face getting hot, but I don't let my emotions show.

I caught on to his sarcasm, he's trying to provoke me with his words and I honestly do not blame him for it. I have myself to chastise.

I swallowed a sudden lump, forcing my words out before my emotions takes over. “You know what? Forget this ever happened. I should never have bothered,” I tell him.
