Side chapter: 04

Psyche and Serina decided to study again for a master's degree as soon as their children turned two years of age. They are now celebrating their achievement on the lawn and garden of Liverteo's manor.

Serina and Vincaster buy a bigger house with a wide lawn and garden because they want to build a playground and tree house for Vera, and hopefully, if there's another blessing to add to their family tree.

"Congratulations on getting the degree, wifey." Vincaster kissed his wife's cheek. "Also, congrats to you Psyche," he added.

"Congrats, Honey." Daniel kissed Psyche's lips, which made the Liverteo cringe, and they said in chorus, "The kids are watching."

"They are busy playing, so kissing on lips is fine." Psyche giggled and decided to shower her husband with a playful kiss.

"Congratulations Seri," Daniel added which he had already in mind but Psyche's interruption delayed his message.

"Aren't you going to kiss me too? Do you really want me to watch their mushy moments?" Vincaster wrapped his arms around Serina's hourglass waist.

"No. Go and welcome your in-laws because I received a message that they are on their way here."

Vincaster pouted and scratched the back of his ear as he followed his wife's command. He turned his back, but Serina delayed him from leaving as she whispered, "If you can convince mom to watch over Vera tonight, I might reward you later, that is if we can have time alone."

"That's a promise, right?"

Serina winked that energized Vincaster. Then, she went back to grilling their afternoon delicacy, shaking her and smiling like an idiot.

"I wonder what you whispered back there that made him look flustered," says Psyche while helping her grill the meat, leaving Daniel with preparing the table. 

"Guess it," says Serina.

"I think I knew it," says Psyche as she swings her hips and gently bumped them into Serina, pushing her lightly.

"Seri, darling!!!!" says Gregory while running to meet her.

"I'm glad you made it despite your busy schedule," says Serina to her in-demand fashion designer friend and her former colleague in LV, where she and Psyche still work as teachers.

"I miss you! Seri," Gregory kissed Serina's cheek, and he felt a cold piercing gaze. He carefully glanced at Serina's back, and there was the master of the house, standing next to his in-laws, glaring at him.

"Don't tell me, you didn't tell your husband that we're sisters by heart?"

"He didn't ask tho. Anyway, let him think about whatever he likes. He's kind of cute with his jealous face," she replied, whispering back to Gregory's ear.

"I don't want to be the reason for your misunderstanding, okay. Just tell him that I'm not into girls so he could be at ease with me," Gregory replied.

Serina smiled and replied, "Alright, I'll tell him later."

"Granny!!!!" Vera ran towards Samira. Then, like a koala, she clung to her grandmother.

Since everyone was gathered already, they started the small banquet. Once the banquet was over, the children left the table and played at the treehouse.

Afterward, they heard a loud cry in the treehouse. Hence, they ran and gathered around only to find out that the heir of Liverteo had punched one of Psyche's six-year-old twin sons.

"Niel Ysche and Dansel Ysche, tell us what happened?" says Psyche in a calm voice.

"Niel was calling me gay. Vera got mad, so she punched him," Dansel replied.

"Vera A. Liverteo! What did I tell you about punching someone?"

Vincaster knew that his wife was mad since she addressed their daughter in full name with surname and middle initial attached.

"Wifey, d-" 

Serina glared at him as if telling him not to meddle because she was disciplining their child. Vincaster zipped his mouth and gestured his hand that said 'Go, on.'

"Don't inflict pain on the people around me," Vera replied,

"Yet, you punched Niel."

"But dad told me it's okay if he's an asshole," Vera replied as she held her tears back.

Serina glanced at her back and found her husband looking in a different direction, obviously avoiding meeting her gaze.

"Shhhh... Mommy is not mad. Say Sorry to Niel. Look at him. He's wearing black makeup on his left eye."

Vera embraced her mom before she faced Niel to tell him she was sorry.

"Sorry it is not enough. You have to kiss my eyes, so this black thing would go away," Niel replied, which shocked everyone.
